i had an account with capitol one for years,maybe 15 years,i took a personal bankrupty in 2001 an they were included in it,i used the card after that an ran up about a $5000.00 bill,i paid every month an got it down to about $2600,i was late by two days makeing elec. payment thru my bank about a year an half ago,they charged me about $35.00 in late fees,i did not an will not pay it,so the late fees ran up to over $600.00,i got 10 to 15 phone calls a week for months on in,they have changed the payoff now on late fees to about $300.00,i'm getting about 7 calls a week now at this phone number 601-892-2643,i applied for a sony card several months ago an was approved, guess what, its a capital one card which i have ran up a bill of $2500.00,i pay $54.00 dallors a month on the first card every month even tho the payment amount has dropped,we have to keep our home phone unpluged days at a time,i tryed to reason with them but to no avale any advise?
