Went into Car Depot of Mirimar on Saturday, August 11, 2013 to aquire about getting a van that would suit our family. My two little girls, spouse and I  looked at a couple vehicles before our salesman Luis, finally talked us into getting a Dodge Caravan which would be easy to get us financed. We explained our situation to Luis and the man doing our paperwork, explained that we recently been in an accident and that we were not expecting such an expense to come at this time and that we need someone that will be able to work with us. We gave them on this day $1000.00 deposit and they explaned that we would need to pay additonal deposit on three seperate dates 8/14 for $439.00, 8/30 $625, and 7/14 $625. We explained that this was something we would have trouble with being we have other expenses as well, which is where they said they can work with us on that and we need to see what we can get approved for. Allthough we felt a bit rushed they let us drive off with the van about a hour later. We left at the same time as the last few employees did, watching them close and lock up the gate, it was already dark.

On my way home I already noticed a hand full of issues that left me feeling disapointed and discouraged about our decision. First I noticed a slight rumbing noise in the engine, sounded like something was loose and it had a slight smell of burnt rubber coming through vents. Then, I realized the driver side window did not go down and the lights on dash were very dim as well. When I was pulling into my parking lot the car suddenly died, there was power but I couldn't give it gas. I coasted into my parked position and went i the house physically and mentally exhausted. My spouse, being he had to work very early and it would still be dark, plus to early to call the dealer was going to have a look at it after work the following day to determine what happened. We then determined that we drove the car home with no gas, basically on fumes but didn't notice because the lights on dash were not lite up showing that we needed fuel.

Monday morning we went to Car Depot to discuss the pressing issues with the van. Unfortunatley, they were more concerned with getting the pictures of the van done for their finance company. They had me wait around the office for at least an hour and told me to be in Wenesday for the payment and to do my finance papers. Oh and if I wanted them to check the car to see what's wrong with it I would need to drop the car off on early Saturday when their mechanic would be there.Wenesday we called to inform that we would be in the following day. So, Thursday morning we all again go into Car Depot and make a payment of $440.00. Thursday evening, about 4 hours after having been in their office, we get a call stating the insurance they gave us is only for 1 week and asking if we have insurance on the vehicle yet. Mind you, we drove off the lot at about 9:15pm Saturday. I stated that this was something we had no problem doing however, the soonest we could get that is the Wenesday , again they say they will work with you. Meaning, in my mind at least, that they will allow me those 3 extra days to get insurance on the vehicle.

Monday morning. You can imagine the excitment of your daughters absolute first day of school, as well as Daddy's usual very early routine for work. We all got ourselves ready to walk out the door at approximatly 5:40am; head outside and see that our van is GONE! I called the police only to find they reposessed our vehicle and that they had no further information. We fell so cheated and used. All that money down the drain and nothing to show for it! I can never trust any car salesmen again, and I dont wish an experience like this on y worst enemy! They lie to people and say and do anything to get you into their scams. The paperwork was to be in both our names but they only wanted to use his, not caring if his license has been suppended, or if we had plans for insurance within a week. They do and say anything to get your money and signature. Not telling you that they will just go take your car back and call it defaulting on your loan agreement. The insurance they say they gave us was to be for a week, so that following Sunday we legally were uninsured...they took the car around 4am Monday morning..  Messed up! Never again will I allow such a thing to happen to us.

YOU bought a car you apparently did not test drive or if you did, YOU failed to note all the very obvious problems at that time.  YOU agreed to buy this car which you could not afford because you couldn't make the down payment!  YOU bought this car and then YOU failed to get your own insurance.  Its a comedy of errors here.  Then you come here blaming them for everything you did.  GROW UP!
