Carl's Sheds Carl Christiansen Hired Carl to build a shed and he never finished the job Pueblo Colorado

We hired Carl to build a 6x10 shed in our backyard.  He would promise to be on site to start work and would not show up for days. He finally started the job and built the preliminary floor and one side frame, which took him about 3 days to complete. He said he would be back the next day and never showed up. He was going to remove the wood he brought in to build the shed but we told him to leave it. He took his equipment and we haven't heard from him since.  We paid $700 up front for supplies and now we will need to take him to small claims court to attempt to get our money back. The man was too interested in bragging about his girlfriend (he is in his 60's and the girlfriend is in her 30's) and how he buys her expensive jewelry, clothes and even a Mercedes convertible. He is all talk and no action - very hard to almost impossible to contact him and lately he is not even bothering answering his phone. The BBB here in Colorado has rated him an F. I wish I had known this about the man but he had come highly recommended by my sprinkler guy, who by the way is the complete opposite meaning he is reliable unlike Mr. Carl Christensen.
