Caroldean's Resale Therapy Fishy Business or Poor Acumen? Either way, there's better in Palm Springs. Cathedral City California

Caroldean's Resale Therapy has been in the area for awhile and I'd hoped had a good reputation. However, I gravely disagree with the owner's rebuttal to another complaint on this site. She states "As any small business, we try our best to adhere to the motto, "The customer is always right"...but unfortunately, sometimes there is just not a match, and clients also need to be "fired"." Well, I don't know what defines a match, but management seems to be highly subjective in determining such.

I dropped a multitude of items over the course of time off to Resale Therapy and maintained all records accordingly, as well as pictures of every item that I agreed to resell. I recently attempted to reclaim two of my very high-end designer items and somehow their computer "dropped" these two items from the system. The items also cannot be located at the store, so they were likely sold yet I have no record pf payment for such sales.

I have the receipt given to me by Resale Therapy for accepting the items, along with several other items that day. Interestingly, none of my other items from that date were unaccounted for. Yet Resale Therapy insists there's nothing they can do and accepts no responsibility for the items. None, zero, zip. It's appalling. 

Regardless of the proof I have they accepted the items, because they can't account for them, I am at a loss. There was no effort made by management to rectify the situation, and they essentially blamed me for leaving the items for so long. Well, if they can't prove what happened to them, how do they know how long it was before they miraculously disappeared?

I am a reasonable person, I didn't expect full payment, but I did expect an effort to be made toward resolution. So, since none was made, I am here to warn others. It dose not matter how organized or professional you might be. The bottom line is that Caroldean's Resale Therapy maintains subjective and shoddy business practices and they are not to be trusted. If their computer system is faulty, shame on them. If they did something unbusiness-like with my items, then double shame on them. Your best bet is to avoid this "business". They do not adhere to "the customer is always right" and they do not give a darn. There are plenty of reputable, honest businesses in the area. Do your homework.
