Most recently, I am a victim of deceptive and fraudulent marketing scheme used to intice attorney's to execute a contract for client referral system.  The sale pitch offered by their representative located in Las Vegas, N.V. was to scroll down approximately 210 potential client. Going though these clients, the representative offered what might be a normal retainer based on facts.  After using the facts for four (4) potential client's with retainers adding up to $20,000.00, the representative stated "these are clients that are willing to pay for legal services"  they have been verified.  On the web site is a box which denotes payment: visa, cash, family etc.  the box is always marked, to which the representative claims that they verified that these clients are ready to hire and we request the payment information as verification.    I was not provided a ten day grace period, as I learned later, I should have had to review the site, verify its contents and operation.  Their was no testing of the site or client to affirm Legal Match's representative.  I was also advised that if you sign up, you have exclusive territory.

Late, after execution of a contract, I learn that the contract is for 3 years, not the one year as the representative stated. I learned that there are other attorney's serving the same area.  I personally, only after execution of their unconcionable contract, reviewed each of their potential clients only to find that in speaking to most, they do not have money available to them to hire an attorney and are solely looking for free advise.  In fact, one client stated "why are you listed as a pro-bono attorney on their web site?"  After two months of trial process and review of over 250 alleged potential clients, only two came in to have deeds prepared, but not one has signed as a viable client for divorce or real property matters.

The next step here, is to file a lawsuit against Legal Match for deceptive practices etc.  so attorney's beware.  Also, as other posts have stated, I have not yet had the pleasure of some out of state attorney who is "killing it" call me yet to discuss the problem with the program, although I have advised them that I will only speak to an attorney that is familiar with my demographics, location and social/enviromental similarities.  It has been two days and no response.
