Since moving into Casa Costa we have had nothing but problems with the community and their holding company Related Group. We looked at leasing the apartment from them and looked at one particular unit at least three times. After we signed the lease and started moving things into the unit we were told that the until we wanted was for sale and not for lease. We were then put into another unit and also gave a deposit for the elevator which wasn't provided to us until the last load we had to move. After talking with the regional manager she didn't offer us anything that the leasing people had already promised us and was very rude and unhelpful. While looking at the community were were told on at least two occasions we could use their beach club which allows residents to use chairs on two different beaches that were reserved for residents of casa costa. I inquired multiple times about access to beach club and then was told their would be a fee to use the beach club. I received a flyer from the casa costa home associate that it would cost me at least $225 dollars. After getting nowhere with the regional person I contacted the Vice President of casa costa from the related group. She told me that she couldn't do anything for me and that everyone had to pay for for access to the beach club. You would think that a company this large would honor what they have told people, but it looks like the related group and casa costa just wants to take a property and flip it for a quick buck. Besides these two issues the complex is dirty the hot tub doesn't work and we have had other problems with them. Don't rent, lease or buy in Casa Costa.

Well at Casa Costa the problems that you have there will continue.  Hotwire communications is the provider which you are forced to take when you move there.  The problem is the services is the worst.  Since living at Casa Costa the service has been terrible.  Now i'm out of service for the past two days at casa costa.  When you call hotwire they said that they are working on it but nothing gets fixed.  When you call the hoa department at casa costa and talk to robin they don't return the call.  Don't move into casa costa if you want good cable service.

Casa Costa Issues

Keep in mind if you are renting from Casa Costa your not realing renting the unti but paying to keep it until someone wants to buy the property.  Casa Costa and The Related Group have the right to show your property with notice and will sell the property that you are renting.  So keep that in mind that it's not really a rental community but just a way to make money until a better offer comes along.

Hi, I'm considering leasing a 1BR or 2BR here and came across your report.  Can you elaborate a bit more on your problems there? You said the place is dirty, and the hot tub doesn't work.  Is this all the time? What about the steam room in the men's locker room? They seemed anxious to show me these amenities, do they all not work?  Knew there was a fee for that beach club tho, but still they are a little misleading with that!  Is it a noisy building? Do you hear the train whistle at night? It's quite close to the tracks.  The surrounding area is a little sketchy... how is the security there? The apartments seem really nice for the price, but want to make sure before I sign anything!!!

Thanks for the help:)
