On the evening of Tuesday, December 3rd, we emailed CasCondos to confirm the possibility of an early check in (we were told via email previous to the day that regular check-in is between 3 pm and 6 pm). The individual who responded to our email informed us that we would need to come to their office on Friday morning , the day of our check-in, to confirm the possibility to check-in early. The day morning on the day of check-in the weather was very bad and we had three little children, so we wanted to call first to confirm early check-in.We called four separate times between 9 am and 11 am with no answer. Unsure of what to do at this point, we showed up at 11:30 am and we were told that early check-in was not available and that we would have to come back later during regular check-in hours. We returned around 3:45 and picked up the keys to the apartment and drove down to the location to unload our vehicle. [continued below]....

At this time, we were already dissatisfied with the quality of the customer service, but we were even more appalled with the misrepresentation of the unit. The pictures that were listed online were a complete misrepresentation of the quality of the unit. The apartment was completely run down and there were radiators and electrical wires that were very big safety hazards for our family. We have three children, two under the age of three years old, that we were staying in the apartment. It would be very easy for one of the children to accidentally stick their hands in the open radiator, or even pull on one of the loose wires and get electrocuted and harmed. Not only was the apartment unsafe, but it was also very dirty and unclean. The bathtub had black mold that lined the perimeter. The toilet had not been clean and had still brown water resting inside. There was water damage coming through the ceiling with mold lining the corner.

After looking through the apartment we were very concerned about the safety of our family and were very dissatisfied with the misrepresentation of the quality of the apartment through the Roomorama listing. Shortly after checking in and arriving to the apartment we contacted CasCondos via phone to inform them that we were not happy with the apartment and concerned about the safety of our family and that we needed to speak with the person in charge. We told them we were leaving the apartment to go elsewhere. We were told that the appropriate person was not in the office at the time and that they would return our phone call the next day. At that time, we were forced to leave the apartment with nowhere to go, and per the instructions at check-in, we left the keys in the apartment and checked into a hotel. No one from CasCondos ever returned our phone call.

We emailed Cascondos on Tuesday, December 10 to recap our unsatisfactory experience and requested a full refund. We provided a thorough explanation of what happened and they denied ever receiving our call moments after we checked into the apartment letting them know that we were unhappy and leaving. They denied that any of the cords and radiators were unsafe. They also never addressed that the enter unit was misrepresented online. I asked several times for a phone number to a manager, which was never given to me. On Friday, December 20, I received an email address to a manager but no phone number. I tried calling “Ivo”, on Thursday, December 26 but there was no answer.  It’s very clear that this company is poorly run and that their business model is not one that promotes good business and customer service. The BBB  and any website that hosts their properties needs to be aware. Also, pay attention to their terrible Yelp Reviews!!! Do your research, we should have!!!
