I was searching the web to try to find a payday loan & I came across CashNetUSA. I always seen the commercial but I'm not very gullible on loan commercials. Anywho, I filled out the online application & the next day they gave me a call. I talked with someone first but I am not sure of his name, then I was transferred to Sam Miller.

I talked on the phone with him for about 30-45 minutes & he explained everything to me. He started telling me what I had to do in order to receive the loan. I told Sam to give me about an hour to purchase the GreenDot card (first red flag). After I had a conversation with a family member, I did some research & decided not to go through with the loan process.

I tried to call them back but I was immediately sent to the voicemail. I tried calling again & to my surprise, Sam Miller (the persom whom I talked with) answered the phone. I advised him that I did not want to go through with the process & would it be possible that he destroy my information while I was on the phone. He proceeded to tell me that he had already destroyed the information. 

I am not sure why he would already destroy the information if he had no prior authorization to do so. I took that as another red flag & thanked him for his assistance & disconnected the call.

Hello,

I am an employee of CashNetUSA, and I am sorry that you experienced what you did. With that said, CashNetUSA does not, and never will, require you to purchase any sort of prepaid card to receive funds. When you speak to a member of our Application Support team, you are told from the start that the only acceptable banking information that can be used is a traditional checking account from a bank or credit union. To have someone provide money up front to get a loan is not only a sure sign of fraud, it is the exact opposite of the purpose of taking out a loan: a consumer requests a loan to RECEIVE funds because they generally do not HAVE said funds available.

Always be wary of anyone who claims that you are "approved" (as opposed to "eligible") for funds that either A)  are of an amount that you did not specifically request or, in most cases, are of a higher dollar amount than your monthly income, or B) that require you to make any sort of payment, wire transfer, or transaction prior to receiving the funds that you requested.
