First problem that i had with the bank was the time frame in which i found out i had a bounced check.  the letter was dated the 5th and they did not mail it till the 10th and i received it on the 13th.  This then caused a  chain reaction and i tried to explain to the lady at my branch - who was extremely rude and just kept saying they cant control the post office.  I kept tryi g to explaine to her that it wasnt the post office as it was their own metered stamp.  just kept saying i should of called the bank if i wanted to know  my bank balance.  

 I brought my account current  after 128.00 in charges for 2 checks bouncing and continuous overdraft fees fory account being overdrawn.  my daughter had tried to help me by transfering money from her bank to my bank.  Her bank then did 2 transfer tests to make sure it would link and then took the money back out.  1 transfer test was for .65 and the other was .35  Then my bank charged me an overdraft fee of 32.00 for eah transaction and started the continous fee again.  so now im negiative -64.00.

 I had put the amount i was overdrawn in the bank and it showed i had a pending overdraft fee, but i put the money in there before the end of tbe day and brought it current and tbey still charged me the pending fee even though i deposited the money to make it right!

Keep an accurate, up to date check register and don't attempt to "float" checks.  Any checks written and debit card usage should be posted immediately and assure that any deposits have the funds available.  Also, keep in mind that debit card usage for things like gasoline purchases incur a temporary hold of up to $100 to assure the vendor is paid.  These will be credited back in a few days, after the vendors money has been received.  This DIES affect you fund availability.

If you have continuing problems, ask the bank to help you manage your account.  It would be worth it to you.

In over fifty years of banking, I've had NO bounced checks and no NSF charges. It can be done and it's relatively painless.
