Central Refrigerated Services I was fired for having Kidney Stones!! West Valley City Utah

I was with the company for only two months. My truck broke down in Denver Colorado, and while I was put up in the hotel room, I was transported by EMS to Denver Health. It turned out that I had Kidney Stones. When I returned to the Hotel, I phoned my disbatch manager and informed him about the situation. I informed him that I was diagnosed with Kidney Stones, and the hospitol told me that I needed to follow up with my family doctor in 3-5 days. My disbatch manager told me that was no problem and he would get me a load home. The next day my truck was fixed and I went to pick up my truck and drove my truck back to the yard in Henderson, CO.

When I got there I sent my disbatch manager a message on the Qualcomm, and he told me there was no load going to Ohio. He insisted that I take a load out to the West Coast and when I got there, their would be a load going to my home state. I simply and calmly told him that I could not take that load due the pain that I was in. Now I could have took the medication the hospitol prescribed for me, but that would be UNSAFE for and for all the other motorists on the road.

Three to Four days later, I sent a message to my disbatch manager pleading him to send me money so I could either get a plane home, or rent a car to travel home. He told me that was impossible to do, and he would get a truck to drop a load in the yard so I could get home to see the doctor. A few hours later, he sent me a message and told me there was a load in the yard, ready to be delivered to Napoleon, OH. Now, keep in mind he said there was no load in the yard going to OH a few hours earlier. I hooked up to the trailer and was on my way.

I got to Napoleon, OH, and I went to check in, and the company told me the load was a few days LATE. So I had to wait in the lot until the next morning just to deliver my load because Central decided to take their time in finding me a load. After I deliver my load, I head to my home town. I get to my home town and schedule an appointment with my family doctor. When I went to see my family doctor, he confirmed I had Kidney Stones, and that I was to be off work until the Stones passed. He wrote me a slip that stated I was to be off work until the 28th of September.

I remained in contact with Central the whole time I was off work. About three days when I was supposed to return to work, I attempted to call the company and see where my truck was and where I was to pick my load up from. I left a message on the answering machine and not a single person called me back. Also on the 28th, I received a letter in the mail stating that I owed the company $3000 for the tuition cost for the training course that I was put through.

Now everyone knows that it takes some time to get a letter in the mail, and I received the letter the day I was supposed to return to work. To me, that seemed a bit fishy. To this day the company will not return any of my phone calls nor tell me why they did this. Also they decided to hold my last paycheck and bill me for 24 Pallets, which they gave me the authorization to write a com-chek out to cover the cost. I have applied for unemployment and have been denied, because the company said that I quit due to medical reasons. I did NOT quit the company, they fired me, and I don't think that this company should be able to do this.

I feel that this company is scamming people out of their money. I have filed two appeals now on my unemployment. I can't find a job or anything and times are hard. It's been almost 5 months now since i've been without a job, and I don't understand how a company can get away with this. I would NOT recommend this company to any to work for, nor would I recommend this company for others to rely on. It doesn't seem like they have their act together and I hope that sometime down the road it comes to bite them in the but. If anyone knows of anything that I can do to get the tuition off my credit report and to get my last paycheck, I would greatly like the advice.
