Early June 2008 I was presented with a Notice of Motion and Motion to Modify concerning the child custody agreement by my ex's lawyer with a hearing scheduled for 10 July 2008. On 09 June 2008 I called "Fathers Choice" and I fell for the lies I was told by the Father's Choice "SALES REPRESENTATIVE" named SCOTT WILLIAMS and paid almost $1,000 in "membership fees" and "LEGAL ASSISTANCE/SERVICES/COURT DOCUMENTS PREPARATION/ETC." that I have never received. I was told that before they could do any court document preparation I would have to pay all the fees up front so I did. I was reassured that I would have the court documents prepared for me to file in a timely manner.

I was assigned a "Case Manager" named CHARLES DARCUS who I faxed and/or emailed all of my court documents to, spoke with on a few occasions and even emailed a few times. I was reassured by him and "THE LAWYERS" he consulted that the papers were not a motion but an attempt to get me to file a motion first so that I would have to pay for the legal fees because there was "supposed to be" some clause in the divorce decree that stated mediation was required before any motion could be filed. I haven't been able to find that clause and when I asked CHARLES about it he said he would have to get back to me. HE NEVER DID.

I was told I would be "prepped" by a lawyer before my court date and when I did speak to an individual (NOT A LAWYER) he didn't even have my "CASE FILE" to refer to. The call lasted for about 3 minutes. On 10 July I went to court and the Judge asked if I had a response to my ex's motion and I had to try to explain how "I WAS LED TO BELIEVE" by FATHERS CHOICE that I was going to a "Mediation Hearing". The judge issued a temporary order favoring my ex and advised me to get a lawyer.

The very next day I called my "case manager" CHARLES DARCUS and explained to him how I felt I was "CAUGHT IN FAMILY COURT WITH MY PANTS DOWN" thanks to the advice I listened to from his organization and their lack of concern and action concerning my case. HE HAD THE AUDACITY TO CHUCKLE!!! I complained that I was paying for a service that I haven't received and still haven't up to this point in time and was reassured by CHARLES they would reverse my membership fees since I joined in June - Well guess what?? That hasn't happened.

I have spoken to 2 different "Assistants" for CHARLES DARCUS, BLAIR REDMOND and TIM LYNCH who only confuse the issues and muddy the waters.

On 31 July I spoke with TIM LYNCH and was told that CHARLES would contact me the following day - that never happened - I called and finally spoke with CHARLES on 4 August and was reassured by him that my response to my ex's affidavit would be ready and in my hands within 2 weeks -Well Guess What? It is 28 August and I still don't have anything.

As a matter of fact I tried calling Father's Choice early last week and left a voicemail on Charles' phone and tried to call 1-800-964-1664 to talk to one of Charles' assistants but no one answered and I couldn't even leave a message because the organizations' voice mailbox was full. I have sent everyone I know at that organization an email requesting my membership to be cancelled and my money refunded since I haven't received any services as promised. NO REPLY - IMAGINE THAT!!!

I WOULD BE INTERESTED IN JOINING A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AGAINST THIS ORGANIZATION IF THERE ONE, IF THERE ISN'T THERE SHOULD BE!!!

P.S. - I HAD TO TAKE OUT A LOAN TO HIRE A LAWYER - DON'T RELY ON THIS ORGANIZATION FOR ANYTHING EXCEPT RIPPING YOU OFF PERIOD.

Go after their merchant account

If you used a credit card to make the purchase call your credit card company and dispute the charge. You can do this months after the original charge. This is what I did. You will need to provide documentation showing that they did not provide what they promised to do. It was suggested we also complain to their merchant account provider. They appear to have their merchant account with:

If we get Sage to drop their merchant account they wont be able to process credit card transactions.

REFUND IS BOGUS - EMAIL UNDELIVERABLE

I have followed their instructions in their rebuttal to file for a refund but the email is unable to be delivered. I have been attempting this for three weeks and keep getting the following message:

Below is the "official company response" to my complaint. When I tried to email them the information (TWICE) I get a "Delivery Notification Message" that states "Delivery status : Delayed. Did not receive the expected protocol response. (fatherschoice.org). We have been attempting delivery for 5 times. Maximum delivery tries attempted. Please contact your administrator to contact the destination domain or resend your message. Delivery failed."

STRANGE THAT I DIDN'T HAVE ANY PROBLEM UNTIL AFTER I FILED THE ORIGINAL RIPOFF REPORT!!!

Below is my reply I sent Father's Choice regarding their reply to my initial "RIPOFF REPORT" which is attached below. I intentionally omitted the personal information they requested in this update. I will update this report if there is something of any significance to report. Based on other rebuttals if have read, don't hold your breath on anything changing.
