Chase Bank Being forced to pay an overdraft fee which I'm not responsible for. Anaheim California

A few days ago, my account went to a negative balance. I checked my history and it was something I purchased so I went to the atm (since the branch was closed at that time) to deposit the fee and avoid a over draft charge. The atm machines kept spitting my money back out and wouldn't take it, so I decided to go into the branch the next day to deposit the money inside. I woke up the next day to see that now I have 3 over draft fees all over one night and all because there atms didn't work. I contacted customer service and they said they couldn't help me and that I need to pay the three fees.

Hate to tell you this but you are responsible for the overdraft fees. The proper way is to deposit the money and then spend it after it's available in the account. Since you chose to spend more than you had in the account, you chose to give yourself overdraft fees.
And no, I don't work for Chase.

So you admitted in the very beginning of your post that your account went into a negative balance due to a purchase that you made. Therefor, you are responible for the overdraft charge. Even if the ATM was working properly, you would have made the deposit after your account went into a negative balance and still responsable. Plus, given the fact that the bank was closed because you would have gone inside since the machince kept on giving you your money back, does not mean that you get your overdraft fee overturned. Any money deposited into an ATM gets credited the next business day, when after business hours, because there is noone there to verify that you deposited what you state you deposited. You mentioned that you now have 3 overdraft fees that you never explained. Is that because you made three purchases after your account went negative? That is all on you and noone is to blame but yourself.
