Dear Chase Credit Card Division Management.

I would like to bring to your attention the worst customer service I ever experienced in my life.  I am not a person that will take the time and write a letter just to complain but this is something that should come to your attention.

I have called chase credit card support to ask what is my annual spending for 2014 and the agent did a good job in totaling things up but she was not able to give me an official statement with this simple information.  I asked to be transferred to a supervisor hoping the supervisor would have more tools to help but I was faced with a rude and ruthless supervisor by the name of Eva Rabago.  Eva is worth nothing to you and your organization and she would be a liability to any organization she work for.  For a start,  I didn’t not feel she was genuinely trying to help.  Secondly,  her solution was to send me 12 months statements and I would have to compute the total.  I am not sure this is how you treat your customer or this is how you intended your customers to be treated but asking the customer to work their own math and figure out something that is a customary and expected from every bank is not a solution.  When I try to convey that point to her she refused to listen and did not provide any relief.

You may want to review your customer service training if you intend to keep your customers happy

Mr. clueless,

Chase does that every year.  Actually they just did that for 3 of my credit cards and they post it under my account.

As for automatic payment,  maybe for someone like you with simple financial needs have fixed amount setup monthly.  Some of us have more complex financial needs than  just buying a taco and counting the change in the piggy bank.

So to get back to the point,  I pay money for this service and I expect to receive it. Thanks you for playing.  Now go back to your video game and let the adults resolve this issue. This is not your business so stay out of it.

First no credit card I am aware of sends out a "year end" statement of PURCHASES.  Yes, they will send you one on any INTEREST as that usually is included in the last statement for the year.

If you want to find out how much you spent you look at each months statement.  If you have a dispute, you send them the detail of each month's statement.  Because any "summary" number you give them they will just kick back because they really have no idea what it includes(yes even IF the bank sends it).

And as for calling the bank,  anyone would know that not everything can be captures with an archaic register thinking.  There are automatic payment and interests that happen all the time thought the bank automatically.

- Actually automatic payments don't occur all the time.  You set up a specific date that the Automatic Payment is to be made and you account for that in your register on those dates.   As for Interest, that is only assessed once a month(usually on the Statement Closing Date).  So I will give you one kudo...for the day or two between the closing date and the interest is assessed and you have access to a statement you are right, you can't know your EXACT balance.  However, that is not your issue here.

After all, the reason people keep their money in a bank is because they would trust the bank will keep it safe and have good accounting systems in place

- They do have a very good "accounting" system in place, in the form of MONTHLY statements.  You just don't want to utilize it.  Instead you want to come up with your own system, but that does not make them "bad customer service" and definatly does not make them a RipOff.

While you are very entertaining, it is at a point where yes you are still pretty much clueless.  So in closing I will leave you with this.  Perhaps if you complain long enough they may actually give you what you want. But that doesn't mean you are right.

Bad Customer Service...NO...Bad Customer...YES

First of all this is a PUBLIC(Yes that is in CAPS) website and as such the PUBLIC(Yep there goes those caps again) will reply.  While this may be a shock to you, not everyone is going to agree with your "complaint".

If you want that sort of detail, hire a freekin' accountant.

By the way even if in some strange parallel universe the bank is somehow required to provide this information to you, you are still very wrong and a total **s.  Even the IRS gives companies until January 31st to provide W-2's or 1099's. But in your own little world you are arbitrarily saying that 14 days is enough.

Apparently if you have the statements(or can get them on-line as you apparently have a computer with Internet), can use Excel, and apparently already have the numbers what is this huge "need" you have to get an official statement?  As I have never heard of this requirement.

But you know what, prove me wrong.  Why not give us a bit more information on your "needs".  I am actually very curious as to what requirement you need to fulfill that requires a single"official" bank letter stating exactly how much you spent on the credit card the previous year.  When anyone can pull together your previous statements and get the same figure.

Ask yourself that same question,  if you call the bank and ask them what’s your balance do you expect an answer or you expect them to say add up all your deposits and subtract all your checks and that’s your balance?

- Hello?  McFly?  I would NEVER call up the bank and ask them what my balance is, because I keep a WRITTEN REGISTER of all of my transactions that I reconcile EVERY month against the statmeht that they do send.  So I know exactly what my balance is at all times and since I import my data into accounting software I can answer in about 30 seconds the purchases/credits for any time frame I want.

Get real

Caps away and knock yourself out. I would be a little more thoughtful in making my points clear than using caps. I will humor you and give you the reason why I need official balance.  The airline requires certain amount of purchases on the credit card to achieve specific airline status.  As of now the airline has 1 figure and Chase has different figure.   The way to resolve this is to take the yearend statement and send it to the airline.

Yes I can use excel and figure it out but that will not accomplish the goal.

And as for calling the bank,  anyone would know that not everything can be captures with an archaic register thinking.  There are automatic payment and interests that happen all the time thought the bank automatically.  Maybe you keep your money in piggy bank.  After all, the reason people keep their money in a bank is because they would trust the bank will keep it safe and have good accounting systems in place. no nothing is unaccounted for. I wouldn’t want to use a bank that will come up missing few dollar here and there.

Now I have entertained you enough.  If you want to continue harassing me I will not allow you to bully me. I see no reason for you to answer unless you work for chase.

I know how to do math better than you for sure and I let excel do it for me :) Waiting 14 days after month close for a bank to give me the total is more than enough time for them to figure it out. If a bank can’t figure that out then why even trust them with your money.  If I do the math then the number is not official and it will not serve the purpose I needed this for.

Ask yourself that same question,  if you call the bank and ask them what’s your balance do you expect an answer or you expect them to say add up all your deposits and subtract all your checks and that’s your balance?

so get off this thread unless you are an active participant in the issue.

PS,  I stopped writing like 3rd grader using caps long time ago. Maybe it’s time for you to move on.

FUNNY!!!

So YOU are taking the time to complain that someone didnt allow YOU to be lazy. Its BASIC MATH!!!! They didnt give you a "fixed" total because THEY dont have a clue as to WHAT you have spent on in that day. So if they tell you a "fixed" amount and its incorrect BECAUSE you have made purchases that havent hit thier system yet, then a person like YOU will turn around and use THAT to whine about. So they are protecting themselves from people like YOU who will turn ANYTHING around and use it to make issues. Its NOT about customer service, it IS about protecting ALL parties involved. Just because YOU gave indentifying information DOESNT mean that YOU are not just a scammer trying to get information about another person. By sending you the information, YOU are protected. But once again people like yourself dont THINK about such things. No, people like YOU act the fool and act like a spoiled child. get over it and LEARN TO DO MATH!!!!!! They do have this new fangled invention called a "calculator".

This line alone made me fall out laughing.....but asking the customer to work their own math and figure out something......yea asking a customer to THINK!!!! How cruel and evil can they be???
