at its best!

I was late on my chase credit card bill ONCE in four years. I have been getting calls from
847-488-6000, and 210-520-6400 every day, twice a day, even on Sundays, for the last two weeks now.

On 9-26-12, at about 12:30pm, a woman from there called me who was nasty and talked so fast she wouldnt let me get a word in edgewise.
She asked me when I was going to make my next payment and tried to say that my statements from Chase had been coming back to them undeliverable, which is NOT true, and a lie. Ive gotten every statement Chase has ever sent me.
Then shes asking me if my address was valid. Who does this woman think she is to talk to me like that and whats it to her??

Instead of harassing me, why not offer help to someone who cant pay their bill because of financial difficulties after losing their job, like me? She never once asked if I needed counseling.

I contacted JP Morgan Chases executive office in NY, and also Deborah Walden who is the
vice president of card services, and of course I got no response from them. Thats
terrible they let this company get away with harassing and treating people like they do.

Avoid big banks

AUTHOR: axamari - (United States of America)

If possible shred the card and stop using the account. Pay it off as soon as possible or transfer it to another card, preferably one through a smaller bank or credit union. If it is a large balance and you are out of work, go into credit counseling so they can work with the bank. They will have more success than any individual will because they get subsidies, grants, etc. to cover any charges that might get written off.

Chase treated me like a liar when I called to dispute $13 even though the facts to my case were staring them right in the face. You are a nobody to them and they will treat you as such. Stop using national banks, stay local, and close the credit cards asap. In fact get out of all debt you can as soon as possible. Banks are predators these days and only see you as $$$.

Fall behind one time they will harass and threaten you because they want every penny they can get out of you to cover the millions of other people that can't pay either. This isn't the good times era anymore, it is the 21st century and we are nothing more than automatons whose sole purpose is to feed the machine. If you even suggest you can't feed them, they will stomp you into submission. Best choice is to not play the game in the first place.

Maybe when enough of us refuse to participate they will treat us like human beings again.

Oh Poor Baby

AUTHOR: Jim - (USA)

How dare these mean people call you because YOU aren't paying your bills on time.  How dare they go another day without offering you "couseling".  What in the hell do you need counseling for?  YOU failed make payments on time.  They want their money.  They aren't your mother, your clergyman, your friend, your counselor or your financial advisor!

You want some advice?  Here's some advice...there's NO MAGIC PILL to solve your debt problem.  You have a choice...you can get a part time job to supplement your income and PAY YOUR BILLS or you can cry, whine and wail because the COLLECTORS are coming after you...how mean and unfair.  So the choice is yours...the adult way or the lazy way.
