Worst customer service I have ever encountered. Denied my debit card payment because it required a minimum charge of $10 (master card states that there is no minimum purchase for a debit card, only credit card). I tried to explain it to him but instead he closed the store on me, he was insulting my intelligence with crude comments and left me frustrated. I however know for a fact that it is illegal to put a min charge on a debit card, and he refused to abide to the law or even hear me out.

Thats what I call snide.

Just because he is mad and has made a false assumption about the law doesn't mean you should mock him.

"The minimum purchase amount does not apply to transactions made with debit cards." - Visa

"MasterCard does not permit merchants to set a minimum transaction amount to accept MasterCard cards that access a debit account." - MasterCard

"...you may require that a Card Sale or Cash Advance with a Credit Card (but not a Debit or Prepaid Card) involve a minimum dollar amount of up to $10..." - Discover

The Dodd-Frank act of 2010 doesn't cover debit cards, and the credit card companies state these on each of their websites.

" I however know for a fact that it is illegal to put a min charge on a debit card,"

Please cite the specific "law" you are alleging.

I can't find ANY such law.
