As of right now CPS is forcing a baby of a 15yr old mother to be put up for adoption, without consent from the birthfather, who wants the child.  He is not being notified or given a choice in the matter, and doesnt even know that this is happening.  Israel if you read this its your baby, you need to get involved.  Anyways, since the mother of baby is in CPS care they coerced her into signing adoption papers, and because she is a teen who believes the guy she wants to be with doesnt want another mans baby she has already signed over her rights.  What she doesnt know is that the guy she wants to be with is already involved with someone else now that she is in CPS care, and that the babys daddy really wants to work things out with her, and wants to keep his child.  She is refusing to tell him that she is adopting baby out today.  The CPS was warned by family members of baby that this is illegal not to contact the father of baby to get his permission.  Thier response was "well, she is in  our custody now, and we dont have to contact him.  If anyone is interested in investigation of this case.  The family members will be willing to talk to you, in hopes of preventing this ILLEGAL ADOPTION.  Please email (((REDACTED))), as phone number will not be provided until we feel it is in best interest to talk to you.  Thanks for everyone who reads this and may be able to offer some supportive advice as to what can be done.

Father is of age now, but wasnt when baby was concieved, he still deserves a chance!

Update to this report is that father was found and contacted.  He wasnt given any choices when adoption papers were signed by mom, so he didnt even know she was thinking of giving his baby up.  She was 15, and he was 17 when baby was concieved.  He has expressed his wishes to keep baby and raise it himself if mother doesnt want baby.  He intends to stand up for  his rights.  The fact still remains that CPS had no right to go thru adoption without notifying him, and that was wrong, but hopefully now that he is aware he can do whatever is in his rights.

There was no rape because of him being a minor and in consentual relationship.  The mother made her decision because she thought he didnt want to be with her, and another boy expressed interest in her, and she felt he wouldnt want to raise another mans baby.  Out of haste, mostly.  Partially your right about mom not being ready to raise a child, and I respect thats her wishes, but one has to involve the father as having the option to choose the same.

At least now he will have to be proven unfit before he is completely denied any rights to his child.  I really feel CPS made a bad choice in not allowing him to even know this was happening.  It took the babys mothers parents to find him and warn him.  She didnt tell any of her family, and they were all heartbroken, but also thought it was wrong to do this behind the daddys back, so they informed him.

I guess they hope that if the child is with the dad then maybe they will at least have rights to see the baby, or let the mother of child see the baby if she later decides she wants too.  He actually wanted to help her raise child but she was in CPS care due to her own mothers issues, so she wasnt able to communicate with him.  She didnt know how much he really cares about her is what I was told.  Sad story.  Thanks for the input, and hopefully the baby will end up with whoever can give it the best care and love this child deserves.

Under Arziona law 8-106, the father has to be notified prior to the adoption being legalized.

That being said, it can't possibly be a good idea for him to keep the baby.  If the mother is now 15, she was probably 14 at the time of conception and unable, legally, to consent to sex. If the father was over 18, he's guilty of statutory rape and bad judgment. If he was under 18, he is too young to be a good father to a baby.

The best thing for these kids is to let a loving set of parents adopt the child and give it the home it deserves.  Being a birth parent doesn't necessarily equate to being a "good" parent, no matter how much they love and want the baby.
