I purchased a used auto from Choice Automotive Repair shop, the car was not as described. The owner's husband, friend or employee "Richard" will not work to a solution with me.

May of 2014 I purchased a 1991 honda crx from the owner of Choice automotive. He specifically told me and my witness the car only needed a head gasket and radiator to run properly. Now Choice automotive is a automotive repair shop, so I bought this car on the good faith he was telling me the truth. Well i made the repairs he said it needed. The problem is the repairs did not fix the problem.

I had another shop check my work and to help diagnose the problem and it turns out the Honda CRX has a warped engine block. This is a much bigger repair than what Choice lead me to believe. I purchased the car for 650$ I put 200$ worth of parts on the car. Had an independent shop check my work for 100$.

I am also out the time an energy this whole thing has cost me. Choice automotive is unwilling to work with me on a solution to this problem. I feel ripped off and lied to by a business owner in my community. I am worried choice automotive repair shop might do this to other people in the community.

They are also claiming to not be an auto dealership and I know this. I know they are a repair shop and this is why i believed what they told me about the repairs the car needed. I have been ripped off and lied too.

Choice Automotive's Mechanic Dave Cruz

AUTHOR: sully - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, December 10, 2014

Very good day to you Misty Richards the owner of Choice Automotive. The Mechanic who sold me the car in the Choice Automotive Parking lot is Dave Cruz. If you call or ask around you will run into Dave if you know Honda's and the tuner community in the QCA you know Dave. We all know he works at your establishment. The title and keys were handed to me from inside the office of the shop. He told me he was an owner. This is not a false claim. I was sold a car with a blown Head gasket that was caused by a warped engine block. I never had the chance to warp the block because it never ran right. I understand you might not have known about this. However; we know this is not the first instance. We noticed you pulled all the photos of your website that had his picture in them he sure looked like an owner. I believe the QCA area should know about the types of people you let sell cars off your lot then. I also find it funny you take no responsibiliy for what your employes or community memebers are doing on your lot. I would never in my life take anything to you for a repair, with the dishonest actions of your employees the risk of being ripped off is too great!. The bottom line is we know other people that have been ripped off. It's happening on your lot, by your mechanic. Good Day to you!

#1 REBUTTAL Owner of company

Absolutely Untrue

AUTHOR: Choice Auto - ()

POSTED: Monday, July 21, 2014

I am the sole owner of Choice Automotive and this report is 100% untrue. This person has never purchased a vehicle from Choice Automotive, as we do not sell vehicles. There are no employees or spouses here named Richard. This person purchased a vehicle from a private seller, of whom I have no relation to, in my parking lot over 2 months ago. My shop does not guarantee or make promises on used vehicles that are for sale by owner in our parking lot. We do allow members of this community to advertise their vehicle for sale in the parking lot, that in no way belong to Choice Automotive, nor myself. I also could never stand behind a customer doing their own repair. If the vehicle was repaired by this person and it didn't work out, then that would make him responsible. I really am baffled that he would knowingly purchase a $650 car, that is over 20 years old, from a parking lot and then look for someone to blame when it doesn't work out. This right here is a huge waste of my time as the business owner. He has made several false reports that I have had to refute. My time is valuable as well, and if he were an actual customer of mine, I would bend over backwards to make it right. The main point here is that he is not a customer at Choice Automotive. He has had no repairs done here and their is nothing for us to warranty or work with. This is no different than parking a car for sale at Wal-Mart. They cannot guarantee the result of the sale any more than we can. This is the kind of simple person that tries to ruin a businesses good name and reputation as to not accept making a mistake. He made the purchase, he made the repair, he made this situation, now he is dealing with it. I only feel bad for the people who feel the need to bring others down when they are down. Good luck to you sir.
