I took out a policy with Choice and filed my first claim about 15 days after the policy took full effect (30 day waiting period). It was a washing machine and it broke. I paid for a service call, the local contractor came and then nothing. I called the contactor and he was waiting for a part.

 I got a e mail from Choice saying the claim was cancelled. I called the company and they told me the failure happend over time and since I did not use it on the day the policy took effect, the failure was before the policy took effecft. How did they no this, I asked. Because the circuit board just does not fail in such a short period ( 8 0r 10 days). Well according to Sears who owns kenmore, yes they do. But that is reality and this company does not care. They claim they "know" this fails over time and thus they refuse to cover the claim.

In fact, if anything had failed so soon after the policy takes effect they denie the claim. 


BOTTEM LINE, FIND ANOTHER COMPANY.

 You are just another consumer that was looking for someone else to pay for their problem. You were denied because it was a "PREEXISTING ISSUE". To them what you are doing is FRAUD. Plain and simple. They ONLY have you word that it broke coincidentally 15 days after your policy went into full effect. In order to protect themselves from this type of fraud they limit or deny claims the first 60 days. They are the ones who think you are attempting to commit fraud. YOU may think this is highly unfair, but given the American Consumers NEED to have anyone else pay for their problem instead of handling it themselves, its understandable.
