This company was charging my credit card $15.99 every month for an entire year without my permission! It offered me a 1 month trial for $1 and a free $60 gas card. I cancelled the paid membership within a week and I also never got a gas card.
However, recently realized a recurring charge in my credit card statement for $15.99. I had not idea what it was until I called the number on the transaction description.
Since I trusted Choice Hotels Travel Club to cancel my paid membership as I requested, I paid dearly for it. I am still trying to get all of my money refunded but it seems impossible to get in contact with anyone.
Don't trust Choice Hotels Travel Club and don't trust Trilegiant Corporation!

When you cancel memebeeships you should get it in writing and keep it on file with the name of who you spoke to and the date. And, you really should not wait a year to review your credit card bills more than annually.
