Cinsay telemarketer contacted me around late 2012 to try their service called MyCinsay, this was almost 2 years ago so the service may be different but basically they were offering a free trial where they create a video and put a product/products on it to sell directly through the video and host it on their site cinsay.com. I was skeptical that whatever they were offering would actually drive any sales but the Cinsay rep was very pushy and it was a free trial so I agreed to try it. I thought the video was low production quality and the ability to checkout in the cart was a useless novelty off little value, I might not even use something like that even if the largest video sharing site offered it just because I don’t feel customers want or need to click the buy button inside a video player, I felt it was significantly overpriced for what they wanted to charge monthly for it and their service did not direct any sales to my site. Suffice it to say I canceled my trial several days early just to make sure It was canceled well in advance of any billing period. I submitted a ticket or email via their site and received a cancelation confirmation notice within 24hrs.

However during the week which would have preceded my billing renewal had I retained the service I received three additional emails noting that "Your Cinsay Subscription Payment has failed." Troubled by this I had contacted Cinsay at least once about the billing failure emails and received a reply "Your account was canceled at your request. Please disregard the auto e-mail that was sent to you about your credit card charge." however I still received at least two additional billing failure notices after that.

Over the past two years Cinsay telemarketing has called me on several occasions to try and re-establish a sale, at first I politely refused, then I started to just hang up on them while saying not interested, then I would angrily request they take me off their list and stop calling, they have become quite annoying but I figure they will eventually move on.

Most recently I have received a call again and reminded them that I have already requested they stop calling, that I’m not interested in their service but I was told by the rep the reason they are calling is because I owe them [I forget the exact figure] around $50 dollars. In shock I explained my only account history was years ago as a free trial that was canceled in advance of the trial period. It sounded like the rep was speaking with a supervisor but they eventually hung up.

Frustrated with continual harassment via unwanted phone calls, multiple instances of billing confusion and false claims of money owed to them I have come to a personal opinion that this company is either very disorganized or trying to commit fraud or a scam of some sort, possibly trying to extort money from victims who were foolish enough to take part in their free trail.
