ClaimJockey is currently being sued by several employees for owing back wages and defrauding on their taxes (me included). They would hand write your paycheck and say taxes were taken our of it, but when you file your taxes you owe thousands becuause the company never paid them. They tell people they are closing when you try to get your back wages, and then move locations.

ClaimJockey charges clients thousands of dollars for something that takes jsut a few hours. There are many times the client was owed a refund, and the company tried to talk them out of it. The owners pay themselves over 200,000 dollars a year on money families really needed in a bad time. They owe god and everyone money, yet they live in a 400,000 home in Lakewood.

ClamJockey went national because there is not a company within 100 miles of Kansas City that will do business with them. The owner, Wendy, says that the company was started because her brother had cancer, but she tells employees that he was a jerk and philanderer. Her brother's widow invested 2 million into the company, and when she ran out of money, suddenly she was fired from the company.

Don't give them your time or money. It will not go to good people that are in business for the right reasons. The owners do not know how to run a business, so they make other people pay 400% markup to cover their shortcomings in business sense.

#2 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Nice Try Wendy

AUTHOR: Anon - (USA)

Orinigal poster was correct. Wendy if you are telling the truth, then your clients should have no problem receiving at least one of the following:

  • 3 business references with 1+ year together to prove you have paid vendors on an ongoing basis
  • A meeting at the office listed on the website (which is vacant)
  • You list 51-100 employees of your website. Give clients 3 previous employee references that are not owners
  • Your 2015 business tax return
  • An explanation as to why you are being sued by two former employees in Missouri alone, which is 1/5 of the entire staff that has ever worked for the company.
  • Provide a letter from your attorney stating you are not being sued in states including oklahoma, colorado, or new york.

This is your third failed business, and third time owing clients and employees back money. Give clients the name of your accountant to disprove. You can't, because they quit due to conflicts with federal government and your requests.

This company is a sham. Their website is terrible. And after four years in business they can't afford employees. BUYER BEWARE.

Since being made aware of this listing by a new client, I have wavered between answering and ignoring these comments. In general, I believe answering undignified remarks does no good.  It makes me sad that we have a world where anything can be said about a person or a business and if read by enough people - taken as the truth.

We are a small niche business that thousands of families have sought help from - and have cried in happiness at the results our amazing team has been able to produce.  Long Term Care Insurance works - it is one kind of insurance that relies on a primarily senior audience to navigate a complex process at what is often the most difficult time in their lives.

We are proud and humbled to be able to help these families when they need us. I can be reached at 816-875-4205 or by email at wrinehart@claimjockey.com
