Same as other victims, after joining for about $10 for one year, an unauthorized automatic renewal fee of $40 appears on my credit card twelve months later. Correspondence with the company is fruitless, they say I failed to opt out of automatic renewal, and even though the charge is only two days old, it is irreversible and will not be refunded.
My bank which carries my Visa card has reversed the charge, pending a challenge by classmates.com.

That happened to me...

I was looking through my bank statement for November, and I noticed that "classmates.com" had charged my debit card for $39.00 for an "automatic renewal." I NEVER agreed to this; in fact, I would get emails from "classmates.com" asking me to "upgrade" my account. Pure fraud... :( There's a lot of other reports on this site relating to unauthorized charges on credit/debit cards from "classmates.com", and I believe that they are being sued. I'm going to call my bank ASAP, and try to get this unauthorized charge removed. These vultures need to be taken down. In this unstable economy, that $39.00 could be applied to a utility bill, groceries, etc. Unreal!
