This is an irresponsible and apparently dishonest company. Clickitcover.com was so late sending the van cover I purchased I had to make arrangements with FedEx to hold the package while I went out of town, I just couldn't wait any longer for it to arrive. When the cover finally came it was not what I ordered and I immediately sent it back, which wasn't easy. The box the cover came in was so flimsy that FedEx required me to purchase a new box to ship it back. To add insult to injury, I had to pay for the box and the return shipping for the wrong product.
I thought that would be the end of it but it wasn't. The company informed me by email today that they couldnt refund my purchase because according to their warehouse, the cover was returned used, and had grease on it. In addition to the charge that the cover was dirty they also stated that I had received the right product.
In fact, the van cover does not meet either the verbal description I received by phone from Dennis, the clickitcoverit.com salesman or their online specifications for it. I spent a lot of time on the phone with Dennis, explaining what we needed: a heavy duty cover for our van that could handle all kinds of weather, including snow and strong winds. After I described the weather we've experienced where we live he chuckled and said, "In other words, all of the above!"
Dennis promised that the cover I purchased would provide the type of protection we needed. Yet the description of the medium weight van cover that we received from clickitcoverit.com specifically does not include protection from snow.

Here's some of clickitcoverit.coms online description of the product I thought I was ordering: "The Budge Max van cover has double stitched seams and a fully elasticized hem to ensure a tight semi-custom fit. There are built in, reinforced, scratch-proof tie down grommets on every cover."
This description is important because the 'tight semi-custom fit' turned out to be an oversized, billowing cover that looked ridiculous when I tried putting it on my van the day the package finally arrived.
In addition, there were no grommets anywhere on the van cover. Instead of grommets there were a couple of tiny, lightweight blue paper squares with a sticky backing I guess is supposed to be placed on the cover to secure the holes Im supposed to make. I included these blue sticky pads in the description of the items I was required to include in the shipment back to clickitcoverit.com.
In their email today, the company did not challenge the list of the items I returned to them, which is a clear admission on their part that we did not receive the expensive cover we paid for. What we received was a lighter weight cover without grommets and not what was promised.

This is the rest of what the warehouse told clickitcoverit.com: "Wouldn't you know it; The cover has grease on the elastic in several locations and even has a small amount of grease/dirt on the cover itself. The cover is a MAX cover, so it is the cover that she ordered. Unfortunately, since the cover is not in resale condition and there is too much grease/ dirt that I would be able to clean, I cannot provide a refund."

When you buy something online there's the expectation that you're getting the product you ordered, that the transaction is an honest one and if there's a problem, the refund process will be handled fairly and quickly.
This is a 'none of the above' situation with the online merchant and its warehouse partner playing ball with each other to mistreat a customer instead of acknowledging a mistake was made .Now I have to spend more time filing a report with my credit card company to get the charge of $155.78 reversed.

My advice?  Don't buy anything from clickitcoverit.com.

the dust never settles on dishonesty

AUTHOR: Zippy - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, June 05, 2012

This company has provided a rebuttal...which isn't a good one because it's untrue. They sent the wrong item to us but apparently it was easier and more fun to smear grease on the cover I returned and photograph it then to send the right van cover.
Here's what really happened: My husband and I opened the box the cover came in, placed it on the van and knew right away that it was not what we'd ordered. The cover was carefully folded and put back in the box. There is no dirt or grease anywhere on our driveway...we live in a well kept home in the suburbs, not in an auto garage.
After I realized clickitcoverit.com was okay with lying about what happened I really felt uncomfortable about buying anything online again. Dishonesty takes a toll on the victim because you have no recourse when something like this happens.  If I had known clickitcoverit.com was absolutely willing to do or say anything not to meet their obligation to the customer I would've photographed the cover before placing it in the box. Who knew there was a company out there like this one? I didn't.

Response to Mrs.Gonzales complaint

AUTHOR: ClickitCoverit - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, May 31, 2012

Now that the dust has settled, in response to the complaint by Mrs. Gonzales. We find her accusations false and unfounded. As a result, no refund was issued to the client as the Van Cover was found by the credit card company to be dirty and non re-saleable. Her Van Cover has been shipped back to her at our expense.

D R Global Marketing LLC dba ClickitCoverit.com takes pride in providing excellent customer service and in 3.5 years in business we have never had a complaint like this. We are sorry this customer was unsatisfied. We feel that we have handled this situation appropriately.
