Community Health Resources, is a mental health treamtent services for adults and children. I still would have to advise anyone who is considering going about seeking services check with the paperwork and review their polices and regulations. Remember you don't have to sighn anything, I wouldn't either until poeple know what they are getting into. Rights, money, and way of life in a residential program at CHR can be very stressful and hard to deal with. We are abilugated to attend to many groups and different set of rules an regulations that don't match up to a healthy life in a normal home. Staff can be very tricky and try to tell you how to run your life and have a great deal of control if you don't have a good understading of what is right or wrong. Ive been in CHR for about 18 months now, Life still isn't very easy. Working on just filing a grievance with the state is a lot of waiting and with many of my family and some other people don't want to believe what is going on, but talking to the people who live with me not visit, will tell you that the living situation is very stressful and it hurts to go threw some of the treatment. get copys of your rights, compare them with their rights, make sure you get a copy of them when you get into a program or site. if things do not mathc up find out from youur local law offices or state protective adovacte whow work in the field. they would know best. CHR staff will tell you that you can't take any action against them but don't be fooled, They can't retialate and if they do, it's aginst your rights as a client. Some of them will tell you that its all about them but you are the cossumer, and shouln't be abbolated to deal with their issues or perosnal situations thay are supposed to be the one helping you not, to make you feel sorry for them. I think there is a lot if miputation and misleading facts and inforation, for one thing their pay is good so they don't want to look bad or loose their reputation, but at the same time they are not willing to change is not good either. A businesss should always be willing to expand their resources. As far as anyone who is going threw any of the same kind of situation here the US you are not alone. USA has to look into their providers more and take the people serously and deal with providers like CHR. Everybody should be able to live and be treated farily even if they need a little more help in their lives.
