In 1991 I was in a bad car accident & was out of work for 2 yrs. I felt that I needed to change careeres. I could no longer work construction, so I decided to go to school for computer repair.

I heard about CLC in Philly & decided to check it out. I went to CLC & spoke to a counslor & was told that they had offered a great course in computer repair. They said they had up-to-date & state of the art equipment to train on. I told them I knew nothing about computers and was told they would teach me everything I needed to know. They said the course would cost about $10,000.00 & that they would help me get pell grants & student loans to cover the costs. They also told me they had a job placement program with a 92% placement rate.

After I got enrolled in the school I learned that their so-called up-to-date & state of the art equipment was nothing more than old 8088 & 286 computers. At that time the 486dxII was the hot chip. Also at the time the operating system that was being used in the corprate world was Windows 3.1 & 3.11 for work groups. CLC only taught us DOS 5.0, not Windows. Less than 30 days after I graduated in the top 10% of my class, the Pentium Chip was released into the market. Man was I ripped off.

I received little to no help from the Job Placement Dept. at CLC. And was told by all the companies I applied to for work, that I had to know Windows 3.11 & expreiance working on 496dx 486dxII's. I then went back to CLC to find out why I was not taught these things & was told that I would have to take an Assocates Degree Course at the cost of another $6,000.00. At this point I contacted the Pa. Dept. of Education & the US Dept. of Education to no avail. No body would help me with my delima with CLC.

So I decided screw it all & refused to repay student loans. So now I no longer get my Federal Income Tax Refunds & now as of 1-1-10, I owe $22,000.00 with intrest & penalties. My credit is ruined for life & cannot work for companies who do credit checks for employment, my auto insurance is sky high due to my credit reports. And I refuse to to pay these loans back since the money to a scamming ripoff school.

I wish the Feds would investigate CLC and do to them what they did to Bernie Madolf.

Because they are just as bad as him.
