As a former empolyee i have first hand knowlage of there schems. first when purchasing you are never shown and discouraged to open show the final price, which on rent to own is double the purchase price.
there are so many things in the contract that is signed by you when the driver drivers the building. they do not discuss anything with the customer. even the sales staff has no clue whats in it. so anything i tell a customer is not true.
I found these thing out when i purchased a building from cook.they knowingly over charge customers late fees, even if it not late they won't up date there system till after all payments are late. leaving a customer not able to complain,or you hit with a bunch of late charges. Darrick jones said this is how we make our money.
they came and repoed an employees building with in 45 days of owning it. but while here they wanted 305 dollars or the building. luckly I know the driver or he woul have took the building with all my stuff. over 65% off the accounts are in a late status making the company 20k-30k a month in just late fees.
the warranty is a shame only covers the floor on new buildings, and all used buildings basical are as-is and all damage is pre existing. even though is states all pressure treated materials is covered they will not warranty the pt siding on used buildings.
Lowest Price Guaranteed this is my personal fav. they will never discount a building by 50% because they don't have too nobdy can make them do so. its there biggest sales point and a crock. they say there the best built but brand new buildings are delaming on the lot. Or just built in a hurry without driving all the nails in.
drip edge is installed wrong for Florida code and causes a back drip unders the shingles and with only a 5 year warranty yout in trouble later down the rode. they use some lumber that questionable split before used,or stuff nobody would use or sell.
