Country Club Village LTD Harassment, unfair treatment, racism, corruption, extortion, outrageous and uncompilable notices, bias against disabled veterans, lies, refusal to prevent crime and clean park Mesa Arizona

To whom it may concern,

Hello, I currently live with my boyfriend in the Country Club Village mobile home park, and I am in need of dire help. I am literally fearful of what might happen if we choose to stay in our home that the park management is desperately trying to remove us from. Let me try to explain.

I moved in around 3 years ago, and from day one I could tell that it was most definitely not the greatest place to be. However, despite the loose dogs, multiple fire hazards, and pest infestation, the park did their best to have a great, lenient management staff. When there was a problem, they would try to respond as quickly as possible.

For a notiable and soon to be relevant example, my boyfriend, who is a disabled veteran, had and still has a service dog who he was training to help notify him of changes in his blood pressure & blood sugar levels. Often she would escape and run throughout the park having fun, but we would always recapture her in a timely manner. The park was always forgiving, knowing that she was still a puppy being trained. They also allowed my boyfriend to build his fence higher than the allowed limit to prevent our service dog from jumping over it, to prevent thievery that was going on, and to keep stray dogs from wandering into our yard.

Yet I soon started to notice that their management staff was mysteriously and constantly being changed every 3 months or less. Every time that happened, my boyfriend, was forced to respond to notices involving paperwork he had turned in years before. Often this centered around his dog, his fence, or other minor things. A bit of a nuissance, but nothing too horrible.

In the last two years alone though, things have steadily gotten out of control to the point where I am fearful of what might happen to us should we choose to remain. Every day brings a new form of harrassment, eviction notices, demands that we cannot meet, and clear bias when compared to our neighbors who constantly violate the same rules but are not punished due to their connections with the police or other racist factors.

The most recent event was that our dog accidently escaped through the front door when we were coming home from college. Normally it does not take long for us to get her back in, so long as no one else has their dogs running freely. Our next door neighbors, who have two vicious dogs who will chase and bite people, as usual had their dogs unleashed in the front. Wanting to play, our dog bounded up to them, only to have their owners come out and start throwing rocks at our dog. Unfortunately, neither of us were there to witness what happened next as we had dashed inside to retrieve her leash.

We recaptured our dog, but by then the police had arrived stating that our dog had supposedly bitten one of the neighbors. They claimed there was only one tiny puncture wound (too small for a black lab), but that she still needed to be quarentied incase of rabies (despite the fact she had her shots up to date). Having no choice, we had to watch animal control take her away even though we told them repeatedly that she wasn't a vicious dog. Any attempts to explain that our neighbors often stole from us, harassed us, and kept their own vicious dogs loose was met with deaf ears.

Fast forward to two weeks later and our dog returned home deathly ill with kennel cough while our neighbors dogs were still running loose. During this time period I had been chased, had my pant leg torn, and nearly bitten directly on the flesh. My attempts to ask from the park for help was met with extreme opposition, and any calls to the police went unheeded. I also called animal control and they showed up to have the dogs nearly attack them. The owners came out and yelled at them in Spanish, and then animal control left. I still don't know what happened there.

No less than two days after our dog returned, the park had posted a huge file taped to our front door. In it was a 14-30 day notice highlighting nearly half the rule book in the rules we had violated. Anything and everything about our trailer, our dogs, our lot, etc had been targetted. They even added a brand new section about service animals just for him, but every section in it violated the Americans with Disabilities Act. Below are a few things I have bulleted for easy reading that we were demanded to do.

- Medical information proving that my boyfriend has a disability and the number to his doctor so they can get his medical background

- Proof that our dog is a service animal (class 2 misdemenor of ADA)

- Remove or even put down our service dog as she is a vicious animal, yet the only time she supposedly bit someone, the police wouldn't even report it as they knew our neighbors were lying (we only got a violation for a dog off their leash)

- Take down the enclosed porch we built (something we got pemission for over a year ago)

- Lower or even take down our fence all together despite that we have the enclosed space for our dog to run around in, to prevent thievery, and stray dogs from wandering in (something my boyfriend had gotten permission for over 8 years ago)

- Take down our attached shed that came with our mobile home (something that had been there for almost 15 years)

- Take down our other shed or paint it the same color as our house, even though that shed is for an entirely different lot that my boyfriend's son rents next door

- Remove our outdoor patio furniture (been there for quite awhile, and something they could not have found unless they trespassed into our backyard)

These are just a few of the things they wrote to us about. I could literally write a book on everything they told us we have to do in the next 14 days or we will be evicted. Most of which is impossible too, as we both go to school full time, have part time jobs, and now many sick animals to care for from the highly contagious kennel cough. That's not even to mention that my boyfriend has kids he needs to care for too. Additionally, the medical infomation they are forcing us to give (which is clearly against the law) we can't access for at least 2 weeks as his doctor's office is very slow with its paperwork.

What makes this even worse, is that we are highly certain that they are targetting us (and a few others) because they think we gave them information to Ripoff Report about a month ago when you were last here. We were too busy at the time to get involved when you guys were here last, and at the time we were also scared to speak out against the injustices they committ every day. Yet they still think we spoke up anyway, and were trying to put them out of business.

Now I am so scared of what they might do. They've already trespassed on our property once, who's to stop them from going further and stealing our dog or maybe one of our cats in revenge? In the past they have kidnapped cats who I know had a home, and took them to who knows where. It costs money to take them to a shelter so I very much so doubt they disposed of them in a humane manner. Very specific dogs have also popped up missing, usually ones who had a home to those who dared to speak out against the park. Yet management refuses to disclose any information on the subject.

Additionally, the management finally got around to trimming the palm trees because someone kept catching them on fire. However, they left all of the palm fronds in giant piles very near people's trailers. Now those are catching fire too, and each time it's moving closer to our own home. No one though, is doing anything about this either.

Now my boyfriend assures me that we can get a lawyer, but since we live paycheck to paycheck, I don't think we will be able to afford one. If we fail to take care of this notice, then we will be evicted and our house taken from us. If that happens, we will have absolutely nowhere to go. All of this is really starting to wear on my boyfriend's health too, and I fear he may soon end up in the hospital due to all this stress. Please, if there is anything anyone can do, the two of us would be forever grateful. Thank you.
