 I Hired this company to refinish my dining room floor. The floor was inspected before work was started and paid in full the day when work was started even before it was finished.
 
The floor was not sanded correctly and as a result many imperfections were seen and some damage occurred. They did not finish the job or come back to correct the problem nor did they return any of my phone  calls. There is no excuse for an owner to return phone calls when there is a problem wiith one of his workers who did the job. 
 
This is not good customer service in the current economic climate. I would not recommend this company and I have the pictures to validate my claim.

The facts in this matter are had the owner returned my phone calls, this report would not be up here.

He did not respond to my phone calls to tell me he did not cash the check.

It makes no differance to me if the check was cashed or not. He could keep the money. My floor is ruined and I understand when an employee makes a mistake on a job.

The point here is his lack of response and customer service on the part of the company.

The matter is closed.

Originally we were going to do the living room and dining room. He decided he only wants the dining room done which is about 110 sf. This job is too small we normally don't take job this small but we did anyway. You said you want to see what the hardwood looks like or he will just put carpet on. We started the job you  hand a check to our employee but I NEVER cash it. My employee still has it. Showed him stain color samples he picked one when it was already applied he did not like it so we re-sanded it for him without saying anything. The hardwood floors that he got has a really thin wear layer. You can ask any hardwood guy any wood that is so thin there's always a chance of breaking through the veneer especially if the floor is not leveled.  Couple of boards was damaged not a big deal, we replaced it. We put the stain that once again he picked. Got a call the next morning you asked for someone to come over and we send our guy there. Our guy convinced you to let him finish putting a sealer coat on and finish and it will look much better but you told him to stop the work. He left the jobsite and that was it. We never cash the check. We took the lost I have to pay 2 employees 10 hrs of work which is about $280+materials and my time the job is only $375. We never got one cent from you. It was YOUR choice not to continue not ours.

Now how it is a bad customer service? I have the check that was not cash to prove it. Its been almost a wk if I was interested in getting paid I would have cash it last Friday when we started the job but I didn't.

 I can post the picture of the check if you want me to without editing it so everybody can see it including all your information.
