I have been reading these posts on Covenant. I am a driver with 23 years experience. A lot of these posts are not surprising because most companies have the same issues. I am a OTR driver at Covenant. I have a few things to comment on.

1. As far as equiptment. we have new equpitment and the shop guys are amazing at keeping up with maintance and repairs. There is NO problems with them.

2. COMMUNICATION is the biggest issue with Covenant. No one speaks with anyone else. It is all email . No  one answers the phone even when you are on hold for hours. if you request an emergency callback thru the computer, you will be IGNORED unless it is in their benefit.

3. they say we have miles and are overbooked for loads. Our checks are LOW at best. We will have a load and then have to wait 3 days for another load. you can not make money like that. If you go into the truckstop after 2 days of babysitting you qualcomm and miss the pretrip...after 30 minutes without comfirmation....that load is someone elses now.

We believe covenant has the potential to be a GREAT company again but think it needs some changes especially with communication.

In an era with cell phones connected to us/24 -7 , why cant dispatch /CSR make a call? Why does it take a telephone outage to make life perssonable again? when you are needing directions , why must the CSR get an email and the driver waits on the side of the road to eventally get a response? 

We are going to try to stay at Covenant until April to see if the Spring make the money flow easier. If it does not , then we to will be a memory at Covenant too.

 i made a post on here about a couple of things that i noticed since i have been at covenant.first of all im a 23 year professional driverand i have a lot more to go i hope.i dont just drive cause its a job i drive because i love my job.i dont wanna do anything else.i am a hard worker im very dedicated to my job i usually drive about 330 days a year.    i made a post on here i dont want anyone to think i was putting down the company.i wasnt.i was making a statement about a few things that i felt needed to improve.i think covenant is a great place to work.

things have gotten better with the money.we are doing better since it started warming up.its apparent communication has stepped it up i have talked to several people and this issue is being delt with.its so much better.i was disapointed with the voicemail i got though.but overall i would tell any driver just starting or a million mile driver covenant is a good company to work for.theres room to grow here theres lotts of opportunity here for all types of jobs and people.i hope i have cleared this up i am a satisfied driver.
