First, here is the portion of the letter you posted...

------------------------------------------------------------------
Your current promotional pricing expires soon. Because we appreciate your business, we would like to make this transition as smooth as possible by giving you another six months of savings.

So, instead of going to the regular price, you'll see only a $20 charge to your monthly bill for the next six months. Over this time, you'll save at least $120. That's right, $120 in extra savings over the next six months just to keep watching, talking and surfing. The best part is, you don't have to do a thing. The discount will be reflected automatically on your next bill.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

OK, I can see why you think you would be charged for $20 only a month. The letter does not word that well and actually misleads as you said.

One note, the bold part actually contradict to what you understand because how could it be saving $120 for the next six months rather than "$120 you would be paying over the next six months." That's really contradicted to what they said earlier in the letter.

So what the letter really means that you would pay $20 less than the regular price for 6 months. Because you called, they gave you $25 less per month instead.

Anyway, I agree that they mislead you because their badly compose letter. The bold part does not correct their mistake but add more confusion to the whole content. I agree with you.
