Cox Communications "Bundle" which is Telephone,  Internet & Cable TV, quoted $9.99/month for each service bundled or independent of each service and at no time did the ads reference this is only for new customers.  Spoke to the customer service supervisor & the customer service manager who denied Cox is running any such advertisement - aired on local TV channels regularly & was in fact aired on TV when speaking to the supv & the dept mgr and they both denied Cox running the ad. 

Existing customers can get in on their $25/month for each of the services, bundled and the customer is told this offer is good for six months.  After the second month, those fee double and when the customer contacts Cox Communications about this, the customer is told the rate is only good for three months & on the third month, fees double because Cox "projects" what the fees will be when the promotion is over and inform customers they're locked in to the increasing rates for six months. Yet, Cox services are "month to month."

None of the agreements are in writing, everything is handled via the telephone.  Statements can be paperless or sent via U.S. Mail, it costs the same.  Cox Communications customers pay a month in advance for service.  Communicating with Cox about this, resulted in being transferred to their "Loyalty Dept" who told us in August, that they can & will disconnect our service immediately, if we objected to their questionable ethics.  October when our rates doubled yet again, we called & were again transferred to their "Loyalty Dept" and told, that if we didn't like it, they'll disconnect our service.  This is while we've paid thru the month, in advance and never have been late making a payment to Cox.

Cox totally misrepresents their services, costs and duration of rates.  Who wants to continue to negotiate(?) bother with liars(?) deal with unmistakeably rude people? and threatened?

Cox Communications has been reported to the Public Utilities Commission and not just by us.  The PUC governs the utilities & phone, cable, internet companies.  Absolutely do forward your concerns & complaints to the PUC.
