Recruiter Didn"t Lie To You

The main job of the recruiter is to check over your work application, tell you what you want to hear so that you wil still attend school/orientation, and then get you to where you need to be on the date that you are supposed to start. When checking over your work application, most trucking companies will rarely ever call former employers. Mainly they just want your apllication to be complete with no major red flags. If you lie on your application about any thing major, then they will eventually find out in orientation when they do a criminal back ground check.
It's not the job of the recruiter to do the back ground check on you. That responsiblity falls to some one else in the company once you are in orientation/school. So the recruiter never lied to you. He or she did the basics of her/his job to get you where you wanted to be, which was school so that you could earn your CDL.
The one glaring thing I noticed in your griping session is that you didn't say that you exposed your post criminal history when applying. If you had, I'm sure they would have turned you away from attending school to begin with since most companies are not in the process of wasting time training drivers that will never drive a day for them.
