I'm a former 2nd phase student assigned to the Q fleet of cr england (two phase 2 students on same truck) and we dropped off r truck last Wednesday after being told we would be paid 00.15 per mile (they paid us 00.12), we were supposed to get a flat rate for local runs (they paid us 00.12), we were supposed to b paid for an overnight stay n Idaho (didnt happen), they gave us a 2100 mile route and paid us for 1756 miles (they left out all of Idaho as paid miles), refused to pay us for a 746 mile run because we left the BOL, however the BOL can b picked up online by cre and their cust (they got paid though) and told us not to full up 1st on Wal-Mart loads and don't take a break or stop til we arrive! Payday is today, I'd like to c if they will pay us for the last 8 loads n 5 days!!!

Why should anyone work for 12 or 15 cents a mile,do you do anything different now at 38 cents a mile that you didn't do when you where making less other than run dedicated,of course not your still a truck driver.Then your bringing somewhere around 650 bucks a week home on those kind of miles,but you left out how much time is spent in the truck.There are people that would actually be happy with less,but most aren't.More so because companies like this keep you out so long.It's OK for you to like your job,but it's also OK for people to have a problem with it,their history speaks for it's self.So after you take your road expenses out of that 650 do you still have enough to pay a mortgage and make a payment on a nice new car,and feed a family?Mr ATA England is living pretty high off of your sweat but if your OK with it that is fine,not everyone is or will be.
Just one more thing,if a trucking company is so honest you need to let them stand up for themselves,this is why most of them are dishonest because we don't stick together,it's called divide and conquer.

Phase two students get paid 12 cents a mile. once you finish phase two and you choose to go company , if there are know trucks available you will then be paid 15 cents a mile as a second seat driver. once a truck becomes available you will be paid 26 cents a mile as a solo driver. not sure about the pay for teams as i never planned on team driving. I completed the school , phase 1 and 2 and was hired on one of many dedicated accounts they have . I make 38 cents a mile and run 2400 miles a week. I can not complain about this company. yes they have there faults but if you listen follow direction and use all the resources they offer you can do well within this company

England will never change,why,because people like you keep going there which shows them they don't have to change.This don't make you a bad person,it is understandable that your trying to get in the trucking industry.As long as your there you just have to grin and bear it,because they are only going to give you enough to live in their truck.I knew a guy that worked for them 30 years ago and he said they have always been that way.I think they probably make more money off of people like you than they do hauling freight.
All I'm saying is now that your there just deal with it untill you can get something better,because if you don't they will fire you and put your name in DAC and your time spent on the road will be for nothing.
They may have underhanded ways,but they have tools such as DAC to hurt you more than you can hurt them.Of course if everyone checked them out before they went there they probably wouldn't go,but then that is another story.
