I was hired to work several events as a "camera operator" of a show known as "RNB Live" at the Key Club in West Hollywood, CA on numerous occasions. Me and the other crew were all paid by check on most instances and were due to receive the checks from previous Invoices at the following week’s shoot. Only on the first date that we worked on the shoot for Craig Nobles, did any of us receive payment within that time frame. As pay checks were received from the SWAGG “payroll” office at the same time, we all learned together of the payment issues. Mr. Nobles offered only a verbal acknowledgement of late payment and a promise to pay right away. In many cases, we received payment sometimes up to 3 weeks overdue along with several excuses about the delays.

On June 2nd, 2010, I arrived at the Key Club along with several other individuals with the resolve that we would be paid for all of our outstanding invoices or we would not perform any services that evening. Informed earlier of our intent, Mr. Nobles arrived in person and announced that he did not have payment that day, but would have it before the following week.  Having been mislead at several other junctions, none of us were ready to accept that.  As a compromise for everyone, Mr Nobles verbally agreed to an offer of a $50 late fee penalty/bonus for that day for everyone in return for us performing our services. I agreed as did several others individuals. He personally took a copy of our invoices and paid parking receipts so as to ensure they were "taken care of." In addition Mr. Nobles added that he would give his "word" that we would be paid for the event and agreed with us that if we were not paid promptly his "word is no good."

The following week (June 9, 2010) with no payment for previous days worked in hand, Mr. Nobles paid us cash from his personal account for that evening's show.

I have three currently outstanding invoices from 3 separate dates that I worked for SWAGG Media/Craig Nobles.  I have contacted Mr Nobles via telephone several times since July, inquiring about my payment for those three dates. In all instances he acknowledges my services and has offered no resistance to my claims of money owed. He has continuously told me that he is working on getting more shows so that he can pay other individuals and myself in a similar situation.  Given his past history, I have no reason to believe that myself or anyone will receive monies owed by SWAGG Media/Mr. Craig Nobles other than through legal action.

I took Mr Nobles' Swagg Media to small claims court where he did not appear after being properly served. The judge by default ruled in my favor. Of course that did not allow me to collect as he soon changed addresses.

Avoid at all costs. I have recently talked to many of the crew members and not a single one of them ever received the compensation owed.
