I BOUGHT A USED CAR @ WHITESIDE IN CAMBRIDGE,OHIO IN MARCH OF THIS YEAR TEST DROVE IT CHECKED IT OUT TIRES AND ALL IT WAS WASHED AND HANDED IT TO ME IT HAD A CRACKED WINDSHIELD WHICH WASN'T THERE AND I MADE THEM FIX IT WHEN I GOT HOME TO ZANESVILLE  THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON IT STAYED ON TOOK IT BACK AND WHITESIDE TOLD ME IT WAS JUST A SENSOR NOT TO WORRY ABOUT IT. WELL IT NEVER WENT OFF AND THERE WAS A NOISE UNDER THE CAR  THE AUTOSHOP DOWN HERE FIXED IT AND REPLACED THE FRONT TIRES THEY WERE BALD ON THE INSIDE, THEN ON THE WAY TO DRS IN COLUMBUS HAD A FLAT IN BACK THE TIRESBACK THERE HAD TO BE REPLACED ALSO THEY WERE BALD ON THE INSIDEWITH BEING ON A SMALL SOCIAL SECURITY DISABILITY CHECK I GOT BEHIND ON MY UTILITIES , ON THE WAY TO THE DRS IT WOULDN'T START WATER DEPT TRIED TO JUMP IT AND NO LUCK SO I HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED WHICH I NOW OWE FOR  DIANOSTIC AND TOWING INSURANCE WON'T PAY FOR IT. FOUND OUT THE ENGINE WAS BLOWN UP AND CREDIT ACCEPTANCE  IS STILL TELLING ME TO KEEP MAKING PAYMENTS AND NO CAR TO DRIVE THEY KEEP FINDING ALL THESE EXCUSES TO NOT REPLACE THE VEHICLE OR REFUND ALL THAT I OWE. I AM DISABLE LIVE OUT WHERE THERE IS NO STORES OR DRS. NO WAY TO GET TO APTS. AND THE CAR WO'T BE PAID FOR UNTIL JUNE 2015 SO I OWE 3,856.81 ON IT WHICH I WAS TOLD I HAVE TO PAY. I JUST WANT ANOTHER VEHICLE AND THE LOAN PAID OFF OR ALL THAT MONEY RETUNRD SO THAT I CAN GET ANOTHER VEHICLE. HELP IT IS A LEMON AND I CAN'T SELL IT EITHER

Credit Acceptance has to do nothing

AUTHOR: Dave - ()

Credit Acceptance is not at fault here.  They didn't sell you the car, the dealership did.  CAC provided you with a loan so you could purchase it.  A loan that had a good deal of risk since you're on a fixed income.

You stated you test drove the car and check it over tires and all.  Now 7 months later when the car has problems you feel the loan company should give you another vehicle or refund you money.  That's not going to happen.

If purchasing tires for the car caused you to fall behind on your utility bills you took out a loan you could not afford.  If you stop paying the loan being on a limited, fixed income there is little CAC would be able to do to collect the amount owed to them.

The only other option would be to sell the car. If it doesn't sell for enough to pay off the balance (call for an accurate pay off) you would need to make up the difference.
