CRS Mr Glocker 3rd Party Debt Collector Scam!! Dallas Texas

I received a call from a "Mr Glocker". The phone number that showed up on my caller ID was a local number but the number I was given to call his "direct line" was an 800 number. 

"Uh yeah, very important that I speak to you mam, not sure if you are aware of what has taken place here or not, not sure if you are aware of what is going on here...I wanted to speak to you before it's final disposition...and again, I need to speak to you right away or you can have representation call on your behalf."

I called back and the woman who answered told me Mr Glocker was busy and that she would be able to take my call instead. I gave her my reference number and she actually pulled up an old outstanding bill I have from a vet's office...so that took me by surprise. 

I told her that I would prefer speaking to the clinic directly about the bill and she started flipping out and said that I "Had to do it through them because it has already been sent to collections. I said no, I'm sure they'll be happy to take my money directly" and she hung up! I am so glad that I looked them up and found out it was truly a scam...but it's pretty scary they can find your information like that!
