They spent a lot of time talking in vague terms, but did give some concrete examples of ways to quickly improve your credit score and the factors that affect it. As things progressed, they kept referring to programs that only they had access to and that are so specific to the individual that it wouldn't make sense if they tried to explain it.

We were told not to worry about taking notes, that they would provide an information packet at the end with all the information - this never happened.

They explained how they would show you how to cut years off your mortgage and get rid of your credit card debt "in weeks" - this of course meant that you move that debt to a non-credit-card loan. Cutting years off your mortgage and having access to their expertise was clearly worth $3000 and you'd be stupid not to sign up. The group was given the choice of hurrying to be in the exclusive group who wanted to start right away. If you couldn't afford it, you were told to wait and they'd work something out. David Burke stood in the middle of the doorway blocking your exit and badgering people who tried to leave, asking "do you have no debt?". 

I foolishly signed up and was given a CD and a brochure for the $3,000 payment. I got home and realized I'd made a dumb move. I emailed in my cancellation notice and went to the office the following day to get my refund, turned in my unopened CD and pamphlet to the person there and was told my refund would be processed. Still no refund and no answer when I call.

These people claim to be saving families, but it seems to me that they're preying on the unfortunate. I wish I'd found this site before I wasted a day with these knuckleheads.
