David Brenner Town commissioner lies in print Longboat Key Florida

Longboat Key town commissioner David Brenner physically removed two political campaign signs without permission from either the local code enforcement staff or any property owner.

Commissioner Brenner lied, in print, stating that he had permission from a private property owner to remove the campaign signs.

A subsequent police investigation proved that Commissioner Brenner had lied publically about having any sort of permission to remove campaign signs, which is illegal in Florida.

This amounts to vigilantism and malfeasance by an elected official.

When all the above was presented and documented to the Longboat Key town commission in public meeting, the commissioners chose not to comment or take any sort of disciplinary action against Commissioner Brenner.
