In February 2014 I purchased a female Persian kitten from Kathy Johnson. When we were on our way to pick up the kitten, she emailed me and said her niece would sell us the kitten because she had to work. When we picked up the kitten, the yard and house from the outside looked trashed. They met us at the door with the kitten that I saw on eBay Classifieds. She was a cute little poof ball. Instantly I loved her. :) Her neice allowed us to see the parents. They were both really small. They had very watery eyes. They looked sick. But we went along with the purchase anyways.

I brought her home and she loved to play. She chased her tail. Everything was nice and dandy. She would run around like a mad woman in my room. For the frist day she did use the litter box but she ate like a piglette. I was a little concerned. The next day we gave her something to get her to poop. I forget what it was. But she finally pooped. But it was VERY liquidy. There was something tapeworm-looking stuck in her butt. We had to pull it out and she cried. For the next few weeks she had aweful diarrhea. We treated her for worms just incase thats what it was. The breeder claimed that the kitten got into some papertowels.. why the heck would you allow that to happen?? Later we resolved the diarrhea problem. It was coccidia.

Next, we noticed a bald spot on her ear. Then my sister started to get red spots all over her. It was ringworm. All of us got the ringworm. It's now January 2nd and we are still dealing with it in our home.

Her ears were filthy. I've heard its ear fungus, although I'm not sure.

She had a virus in her eye. She always had it closed. It watered a lot. We had to continually clean it and put some eye gel in it that the vet gave us.

Then after about a month and half after purchasing her, she stopped eating. I began feeding her wet foods. She started throwing up everything she ate and drank. She stopped growing. I had taken her to the vet A LOT previously. This problem we tried to resolve at the vet twice. He didn't know what it was. He gave us some milk. She just ate and ate and ate. She eventually threw all of that up. I then blended some food and water to keep her hydrated and full. It worked for a day. Then she began to throw it up. It was awful. It was an emotional rollar coaster.

We took her to a different vet. We thought maybe they would know what to do and what it was. Immediately the vet knew what it was - her esophogus was too small( she was a small kitten ) to let any food pass through. So it wasn't even going into her stomach. She was fat because she was constipated from the lack of water. The only way to resolve the issue was surgery. We didn't have the money for it. We had to put her down that day. She was starving to death. The vet said that the blended mixture I gave her is the only thing that sustained her that long. So nearing the end of April we had to put her down. I was a mess. She was suffering and I couldn't fix it.

My mom used to breed himalayans and Persians so I always loved kittens. But there was a connection I can't explain with this cat. At night went she would play and I was ready for bed, I would pull out my guitar and sing. She stopped whatever she was doing and jumped on the bed to listen. After a few minutes she would be fast asleep. In all the years of me being surrounded by cats not once have I ever experienced the amusement and happiness that she gave me.

We contacted this "Kathy Johnson" and told her we wanted our money. We blew up her inbox until she agreed to give us the money back. She gave us a little over half of it back. But it wasn't easy getting even a penny of it.

I looked at my kittens CFA papers... the registered name was "Evelyn Hoffman"

Whoever is breeding these cats is a fraud and should be ashamed of herself. Not only is she mistreating animals, she's mistreated human beings. She called me and my family many things I'm not going to repeat. She's a selfish woman. I don't care that she "didn't have to give me back my money" although I am grateful for it. She deserves to be arrested.

25 animals dead in a house fire at 1801 morrell park avenue

AUTHOR: srsly - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, July 30, 2015

I saw the home at 1801 Morrell Park Avenue and the occupants on local Baltimore news stations WBAL11,WBFF45,WMAR2 and WJZTV13.  They reported 25 animals were found dead in a house fire at 1801 morrell park avenue in southwest baltimore, 12 himalayan/persian cats,11 kittens and 2 dogs. There is now an active investigation into the possibility of illegal animal breeding by Baltimore City Animal Control. Based on the volume of complaints on the internet an investigation should have been done sooner and this tragedy could have been avoided.
