Read this to save yourself pain, suffering & money. Learn from my mistake and avoid Dejan SEO.

When I decided to take the plunge and invest in online marketing, I hunted around for a partner that could drive my business in the right direction. When I was at convention, I came across a staff member of Dejan SEO and after a lengthy chat I decided they would be my online marketing partner. If only I knew now what I know then, I would have chosen a completely different path and not gone with Dejan. Look at the time, the seemed to know a lot about SEO and they looked like leaders in the industry, so I was sold. Where do I sign?

I thought I had found my SEO guru or so I thought. I’ve been in business 1.5 years and business was going ok. I’ve been doing a range of marketing to date, such as mail box drops, Scoopons and word of mouth. My business growth wasn’t fast enough, so I needed to get online and get noticed. I engaged Dejan SEO for search engine optimisation and the start of the program far from good (poor actually). Mistakes from Dejan staff were delaying my program, even after I already had paid their substantial fees. I think they may have had too many clients, because trying to get a call back from the person in charge of my campaign was difficult.

They were quite happy to steal my money, but when it comes to delivering service, they chose not to respond. This was not my main concern, bad service I can deal with. I just want leads, because I can close them. Finally my seo program got going and after a few months I started to see some results. To be honest, it was much slower that what the Dejan sales person told me (massively over sold), but it was just a relief that the thousands of dollars I had spent to date were starting to show results. I wasn’t getting leads, but the keywords Dejan were optimising for my website were moving up Google positions. Up until last week, when I lost all my positions on Google. Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

When I rang Dejan SEO for answers, they said Google released an update and many sites were affected. I was angry for two reasons! Firstly I had to ring them for answers, well after a week my site was wiped from Google. Dejan SEO staff didn’t have the courtesy to call me to notify of the problem. What the hell do I pay you for?? Secondly, when I asked for answers they said the update was due many factors outside of their control. I almost believed that (gullible), but I decided to do my own research into the problem.

After reading numerous forums & blogs, they all said the same, poor quality link building was the reason why my site was penalised. I then found out that Dejan SEO outsourced their link building to Eastern Europe. So not only were they building irrelevant links to my site, they were charging me a tonne of money at the same time. I’m now worse off than when I started and my site has been penalised by Google, thanks to Dejan. If you’re thinking about using their services, I would advise against it. I have no idea how to fix the problem, but I can tell you I won’t be using Dejan or recommending their services. Disaster!
