There's a reason this business boasts selling over 6,000 lots every month.  If you are a seller, you are given a verbal 25% commission rate but when the day of pick-up arrives and you are asked to sign the contract, it states a commission of 30%. Attached to the contract is an Exhibit A where the rep will list what he is taking away in the truck to the auction center.  He asks you to initial this list even though it isn't a complete list as the boxes that you and he have packed are not listed with their contents.

They will then put your items in a "general merchandise" category even though you might have many antiques and collectibles.  They then throw many of your antiques and collectibles into boxed lots auctions which appeal to flea market vendors who will spend an entire day waiting to get the "best" price for your items which can sell for as little as $1.  I had an entire collection of Herman, Knickerbocker, Merrythought and Steiff bears that were thrown into the boxed lots room where the best price was one bear that sold for $20.  The rest sold for $5 or less, including the Steiff.  My collection of antique child's dresses, one dating to the civil war,
were thrown into that boxed lot room where they were practically given away. The contract states that they will make every attempt to get the best possible price for your items.  They don't.  I had a $2000 patio set sell for $227.

I waited 30 business days for payment of what DAS sold at auction. Contract states that payment would be made within 21 business days.  Payment would have been further delayed had I not called to remind them that they were in breach of their contract.  DAS still has not paid for certain items that were collected from my home and have either been lost or stolen. Beware sellers, you WILL be ripped off.
