Devcon Security pinnacle Devcon is a scamming company. Their alarms don't work!!! They werent even supposed to put the system in our house because we do not own it!! Orem, Utah

So we were out side one evening, doing some yard work, and here comes this guy walking up to the house.  So I stood there and starred directly at him waiting for him to start talking.  Well he finally told us his name, Jodi with GE.   I told him what ever it was he was going to waste my time trying to sell me, not to bother.  But he insisted...

He asked if we had a home security system.  I said no, we just moved in.  So he asked "How would you like a home security system installed in your house tonite FOR FREE?" So of course I asked what the catch was.  He went on to explain all we had to do was put the devcon sign in our yard and the 3200.00 system was free.  An the monthly payments were only 49.99.  He  then asked if we owned the house.  I said no, and informed him that it was our grandmothers.  He said o thats ok, we can just put her name on it and have you pay for it. I told him no we couldn't.  He said it was no big deal, they do it all the time.  I said um nope no way no how am i gonna get forgery charges...He said we could try to put it in our name and see what happens. 

Well wen all the paper work was done, he asked if i had any friends or family that would be interested in a alarm, and he also told me that if the people i recommend to him, get the system, I get 50.00 per person that signed up.  so I gave him 5-6 names. And everyone one I sent him to signed up so thats like $250.00-300.00 thats supposed to be in my pocket.  Haven't seen a cent.  Jodi does keep telling me that he sent it in the mail. 

The alarm system doesn't work for one.  Secondly a week after he was at our house I got a email saying that i had to register my system with the county and pay 30.00 per year, apparently this is something the sheriff office told this company to inform the customers about when telling them about the alarm system, but failed to do so.  Thirdly he tried to bill us 199.99 for the first month for some reason, still haven't figured that one out yet.  And the icing on the cake is......THE alarm system is in our grandmas name!!!!!! 

See a friend of mine told me after hearing that we got this system that it was a scam.  She told me that Devcon used to be a different alarm company that had a f rating with the  BBB, so they changed their name to get a different rating.  So we cancelled our credit card so they wouldn't get a payment.  Now they call my phone 13 times a day and ask for my grandma.  I keep telling them that there is no one here by that name and they have the wrong number.

I am however thinking about letting the company know what their employee did by putting my grandmas name on the paper work after the fact.  I think that is a crime of some sort.  False advertising, failure to inform fully, so on and so forth!! 

PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.  THEY ARE BAD NEWS!!!  AND THE REPS DO NOTHING BUT LIE TIL THEY GET THEIR WAY!!!!!
