DeVry University veteran targeted Irving Texas

 I attended DeVry Unversity back in 2009, just a moth after being honorably discharged from the Marine Corps. Long story short, after attending classes for nearly ten months I received a large refund check in two different amounts and never had any problems with past refunds issued to me. With that extra money I spent the majority on bills, paying family members back for traveling costs after the military and took a vacation to see family members I havent seen while I was in the service. I received a phone call from a financial aid rep who explained to me that THEY made a mistake in issuing me a double refund check and that they needed the full amount before I can start my next classes within thefollowing week after being issued the refund. I explained to them that i spent some of the money (as explained) and if there was any way that I can still continue classes and they could hold the upcoming refund check and put it towards what I owe. Reason why that was suggested was because I know the school would be paid through the VA on time, if no error occured. They allowed me to continue a few days of class leaving me with the expression that they acepted my verbal appeal but later told me that I was not allowed to finish up my classes. I contacted many agencies any no luck so far. Very limited information received to appeal my situation. I just recently contacted the VA to check up on the status of my Post 9/11 status and was told that the last payment sent was on for March 2010 - June 2010. I find it funny that the school did not report that I did not attend classes the entire month of June and they received payment for that month.
