This was a living Estate Sale.  Contract stated that I could be present, was told to leave or the doors would not open for the sale.  Visiting with neighbor across the street that was moving and was called to quit sending in spies....didn't happen. My folding tables were out and he used for the sale, but then would not return.  Saying that I accepted the tables that were left...had other peoples name on the bottom, i had to buy more to replace ones he took. Check bounced and took me over a week to get cashed. Raining and he didn't cover the carpets to protect, when contracts says will protect and clean.  Not enough personnel the day of the sale, items left out the back.  Stated there would be security camers and uniformed guard will be present...neither. Will not anser my calls to see areports on Kershaw Knives that were sold.  If it is recorded where he states, I make a lot less that I paid for the knives and he would not let me price or know the price.  I was not contacted to authorize a 75% off sale the last day.  I want an accounted statement of what was sold at 75% off, contract states I can get up to two months agter the sale.  I can not get a return call or email. Needs to educate his staff!  THey taped cabinets that were not to be opened and took the finish off, cost to repair was $750.00 and they may still need to be stripped and redone.  His staff blocked off two bathrooms, used as storage of paper and boxes and for their personal use.  Someone flushed sanitary napkins down the atoilet and stopped up the sewer line and flooded several area of the house.  There was no one in this house after the sale....so it was the staff.  Rooter Service and Dry Force was $4,000.00.  Homeowners wouldn't cover because of deductable.  Excellent salesman to get the job, gets all out to sell and then becomes a different person!  Do not use this service!

The owner's bebuttal is great!  He is not addressing the problems I encountered, but decides to reply with name calling.  He doesn't know what went on during the 2 day sale, because he was not here.  The bathroom that he says was the storage for my belongings is the bathroom his staff selected and they moved all the wine from the wine rack to that bathroom and other alcohol that they found in closed cabinets to that bath, because they do not sell those items at an estate sale. and I didn't have flooding in that bathroom, only the one bath by the garage and the powder room by the livingroom were flooded, where they stored paper and boxes and used for their private business.  There were signs on the doors not to use. Since he wasn't here, how does he know what his staff did.  I did not have presale visitors except for calls from out of town family, Lubbock, LA, South TX and friends that couldn't take off from work.  These friends  saw the items on the website that I provided them, that he set up.   They called to see if they could buy the items and I ask if that was possible and would pay for the items that they wanted....I was told no that he had to allow his established customers the opportunity to buy what they wanted before it could be offered to people I knew.  It was full price and commission in his pocket.... I have never been declared an alcoholic except by him, and that has nothing to do with my wanting answers to the problems that I encountered.  I never said that the sale wasn't good.  I feel that he could have protected the property better and not left me with new expense to get back in shape.  He violated his prinited contract and I want the public to know that.  I realize he'll never reimburse me for all the damage to my cabinets, carpet, the flooding and breakage of items.  I still want a detailed listing report on the Kershaw knives, and his contact states that I am entitled to all reports for two months after the sale.  I didn't here anything but slander as to why I can not receiave answers.

Delusional alcoholic

AUTHOR: DFW Estate Liquidators - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, June 08, 2015

i was completely floored when I read the complaint. In all of my years of service and the positive track record that we've displayed, I've never encountered such a horrible, negative experience with a client.  We later realized that this client was an alcoholic and was under the influence during every single interaction. It should have been apearent with many rooms in the home converted into bars and saloons and my staff encountering the client drinking wine from a box in the bathroom during our setup process,  while i my self encountered the client drinking and driving. It was made apparent that she was not in her right mind from the start.  We still remained professional and continued to help her reach her goal of liquidating the items in her home.  My contract does state that we allow our client to be present during the sale however I asked and she agreed that she would remain absent as I could forsee her emotions mixed with the alcoholism having a major negative affect on the sale.  The sale was a great success to say the least and exceeded the projected revenue amount that was estimated. My contract stated that if a client pulls items from the sale, we will still charge our commision which is fair. This particular client pulled many items, compromising the integrity of the sale and let her friends pre-shop the sale without my knowledge. I felt sorry for her and didn't even charge my commision.  She did have a few tables that she thought got mixed up with ours, however she verified through my staff that the tables we left behind were indeed hers, and that she was good. I gave her the cash register reports detailing all sales. Nothing was ever hidden and she never tried contacting me on anything else. I did call her on the issue with the check. We have all of our clients hold the check until Tuesday to allow for credit card processing to hit our account. I did advise this client to do the same and she said, not a problem. This client deposited the check on Monday.  I called and asked her why, she said her bank advised that it was ok and wouldn't post..but it did.   She apologized and said she would pay the returned check fee. I never collected on that as well.  I literally feel sorry for this lady and hope she gets help.  I have no idea or knowledge about sanitary napkins. The bathrooms were blocked off for storage of her personal items and docume t&s at her request.  My entire staffed witnessed the alcoholic driven behavior put forth by this person.

I stand behind our service as one of the leading estate sale companies in our industry. Feel free to contact me with any questions related to this person or her sale.  I would advise against doing any type of work for this individual.
