I purchased a set of "diamond" earrings and a "diamond" ring from this comapny a few years ago. When I decided to sell the jewelry after my divorce, I was informed by three different apraisers that the "diamonds" are actually CUBIC ZIRCONIA.

I filed reports through the Better Business Bureau of Wisconsin, and Diamond Nexus refused to authorize a refund, claiming that their diamonds are real when subjected to "rigorous testing by professional jewelrs.

My only hope is that a class-action case will eventually come up and I can get on board. Now I'm stuck with outrageously expensive paste jewelry and no way to sell it.

AUTHOR: Diamond Nexus - ()

Hello, My name is Jennifer London, Social Media Coordinator for Diamond Nexus. I want to address your statements concerning our Diamond Nexus jewelry so that you can better understand our products which are indeed diamond simulants, as explained in detail on our website at this link: http://www.diamondnexus.com/product-education-compare-us-to-a-diamond.html

We do not claim to sell diamonds, which are made entirely of carbon and are mined from the earth.

We also do not sell CZ, which contain only two elements, are lighter in weight, softer and are quite porous.  Our stones contain multiple elements, which are significantly more expensive than the elements in CZ, giving customers the benefits of stones that are 20% heavier than CZ.  Diamond Nexus stones are harder and tougher, being non-porous, so that they can be worn with confidence, optically looking like mined diamonds.

Check out this link for the independent testing that has been conducted on Diamond Nexus stones:

http://www.diamondnexus.com/product-education-independent-testing.html

When professional jewelers inspect stones, they use thermal conductors. Mined diamonds conduct heat, since they are made of pure carbon. Our stones, not being pure carbon, do not conduct heat, so jewelers might conclude that given the failure to conduct heat that they must be CZ, when in fact they are comprised of entirely different elements, but there is not a test that exists to show that.

I hope that this helps you to understand more about Diamond Nexus and our diamond simulant jewelry. I completely understand how frustrating your situation must be and how you felt, being told that by jewelers. Given the fact that you had also wanted to part ways with the jewelry from a previous relationship, which I can completely empathize with.

We would like to offer you the email of our customer service coordinator, Michelle at michelle.edwards@diamondnexus.com. She would be more than happy to speak with you about your jewelry and answer any questions you may have.

Sincerely, Jennifer London, Social Media Coordinator for Diamond Nexus.
