Diamonds International / Norwegian Cruise Lines Mark - Diamond Consultant on-board Norwegian Deceptive Diamonds International New York International

While on a Norwegian Cruise Lines in the Caribbean in November/December, 2015, Marc, with Carnival, touted the greatness of Diamonds International (DI) and encouraged people to buy from them due to their fairness, gread pricing, etc.  So my partner and I went to several differnt Dianmonds International at different ports at which the ship stopped and visited DI, making many purchases.  While on board, I learned that my job had been cut and that I was unempolyed immediately.

 As a result, I went to DI at the very next port of call and told them that I needed to return a $25,000 Tanzanite stone I purchased because I no longer had a way to pay for the merchandise.  Though the paperwork said this was acceptable (to return merchandise to any DI store during the cruise), nobody would allow me to return the Tanzanite, and every person with whom I spoke at DI throughout the Caribbean told me I had to deal with DI in New York, NY regarding issues of this nature.  I have attempted to rectify this situation for nearly two months and continue to get the run-around from DI, who demanded a 20% 'restocking' fee - that's $5,000.00 - in order for me to return the store and be credited.  

As a former US Army enlisted individual who was recently released as a result of military downsizing, I would think that DI would consider the circumstances and conduct itself as a business of integrity, which is anything but that which they have done.  I have asked for phone numbers to their legal department and been given inaccurate numbers multiple times.  I have been hung up on and spoken to in incredibly disrespectful ways and been told in so many words that I am an idiot.
