I have been shopping around for a Nikon Coolpix 100AW. It is an underwater digital camera for my son who will be studying marine biology this fall at the University of Queensland in Australia. I bid on one on ebay without success the sales price was $295. I priced it at costco for $279 and at best buy for $299. as well as looking on Amazon. This morning I searched for the camera on the internet and found that digitaldepotonline.com was offering it on sale for $174.80 it stated that it came with an accessory pack for an additional $0.00 and if I chose the 15 day shipping option that would cost $0.00. I was ecstatic at these savings and went ahead and completed the order. When I received the email confirmation of order - I was surprised that they required me to call and confirm the order. I went ahead and made the call, the customer service rep read me my address and asked me to confirm that it was correct, then he asked me for the security code on the back of my credit card (I had already provided this when I placed the order) so I went ahead and gave it to him. Then he coyly asked me why I hadn't ordered the battery and charge that went with my camera. Immediately I was alarmed (I have purchased 6 digital cameras in the past and they always included these items). I said to him "what are you talking about, the ad didn't say that the camera was incomplete". His response was "I don't think I like your attitude". I advised him that their advertising was misleading and a misrepresentation, I'm fuming now but still maintaining my cool - I still think I might be getting a bargain so I asked him how much additional they would be and he advised me the price was $89.95. so now the camera would cost me $275.00 no bargain or deal since I can buy it at costco for $279. without this baloney. Needless to say I told him to cancel my order and advised him that I was going to report his company. Almost immediately I got an email saying my order had been cancelled and all my data would be removed from their system. we shall see. I'll add more info to my report if I have any further problems with these people.
