We were Direct TV customers for a couple years - mostly for NFL Sunday Ticket.  When canceled in August 2013, we were contacted by the retention department and offered special deals to stay on.  We were told we would get NFL ticket at no charge if we stayed on so we did.  The bills kept coming with charges for the Sunday Ticket.  Each month was an argument and promise to fix the bill.  It was never fixed.  In January we cancelled and continued to get calls to pay the bill and threats it would go to collection.  Direct TV had all our calls and complaints in their records and would say they would change the bill.  Never did - kept calling insisting on payment and threatening collection.  Never again.  Don't get suckered by their sales people.  Their system is set up to bait, switch, and coerce.  We finally paid the $170 to get them to go away.  In my book they owe us $170.

yes iv noticed the same thing. they claim to give a discount but the next bill comes and i was charged even more. i once spoke to supv. and he was a real jurk. he could care less. you would think that i would back direct because i own many stock shares of berkshire hathaway which owns alot of direct stock. but i really think that direct has crossed the line and the dirty dog practices of up charging can in no way be justifyed! now the loosers at at&t have there fingers in it. so expect even more dirty tricks. and its a shame because i really love the service! so where really screwed. do u want to go with comcast or direct, we loose either way, with comcast there are constant black-outs, and over priceing too. im thankful for sights like this and BBB so we can out these evil doers.
