directtv was charging me for pay channells that i did not order, after 3 months of paying and warning them, i told them i am not making another payment on the account until they re-structure my bill and take off the charges i didnt have. well, they said they would and yet the next month, it is there again. I told them i will not make another payment due to that reason.
the shut me off for non payment. i told them, they are not authorized to withdraw anything out of my bank account and they went and 3 months later illegally withdrew 700.00 out of my account when they were authorized and my bank knbt allowed this to happen.
why should i have kept being charged for channels that i did not want. goes to show corporate america can do what ever they want and the banks will let them do it . they will take money from you weather you allow it or not. and they get away with it .

Even though I feel your pain, the problem won't be fixed and you will become the victim and lose to them if they sue you.
They play the ball right while you are playing it wrong. If you read the contract, you may find a part saying that they can cancel your service and charge for early cancellation if you do not pay the monthly service on time and such. Now, they can hit your credit history if you do not pay them. Yes, this is corporate America that is allowed to force you pay up front. You could, however, sue them back later once you paid everything off. If you do not pay and owe them, regardless the reason you do not pay them, they have legal right to sue and get the money from you...

they got their stuff back, they didnt change my bill, i did not authorize them to take the money and yet, they took it, i did NOT concel the service, they did when they shut me off due to me not paying for things i did not want, and yet they kept the cancellation fee that i was not to pay because i did not cancel, and no , i should not and will not pay for channels i did not want , therefor i didnt pay the bill for that reason and that does not mean they should charge me 350.00 cancelation, what was i to do, keep paying for channels i did not want until they see fit to correct my bill ... why give them yet more money for things i didnt want .. either way they were stealing my money and everyone, the company, the bank and the BBB will always let them do it and they will always do it cause they can and will until someone grows a set and says NO

Whether you agree with it or not, when you signed up for service you agreed to let them draft your account. This agreement means that if you stop paying and break your contract they can withdraw the cancellation fees and equpiment fees from your account. Whether or not you verbally told them that they were not authorized, they have it in writing that you agreed to it.
While you have a case for the pay channels you didnt agree to, you do owe the early cancellation fees and equipment fees if you did not return the equipment.
