We used this company to cover our used automobile. After purchase there is a one month waiting period to ensure that the vehicle purchased does not have underlying issues upon purchase. This is not unusual or unreasonable practice. After our one month waiting period was over we experienced an issue with the vehicle and took it to the service department at the dealership. The mechanic stated that it is likely that the triggering issue occurred after the vehicle purchase and was not a "pre-existing condition". DirectBuy immediately denied our claim.
We spoke to the individual who was so friendly and accomodating when we originally purchased the warranty (Zack) and he was rude and even denied who he was even though it was clearly him. This company represents they will cover certain isssues thus they carry the burden of proof or at least reaonable explanation for claim denial. They did none of this. The fix wasn't expensive enough for me to desire to pursue legal action so they made off with a few hundred dollars of our money. This is a terrible business which has scammed many people. Hopefully this report helps someone else to stay away from this filthy place.
